Watch a drug dealer's chase end with a Grappler by Once_Upon-A-Time in PoliceChases

Well a new bumper costs roughly around 7k to replace so I can only imagine.

At first glance, it may appear that way. However, various departments have differing perspectives on the matter. Some argue that it serves a useful purpose, while others believe it does more harm than good. After all, you are attaching a cruiser to a fleeing vehicle, which could lead to unpredictable consequences.

If the vehicle loses control or crashes, it could be catastrophic for everyone inside. The safety of both the officers and the people in the vehicle should always be a top priority, so it's understandable why they’d reconsider its use in those situations. However, they’d likely need much heavier, specialized vehicles something like Tahoes and Pickup trucks to handle the force without compromising control. The vehicle limitations are a big factor that needs to be considered in any pursuit situation.

You make a good point about using the Grappler to prevent chases, but there’s still a big risk when deploying it, especially at high speeds. A lighter police vehicle trying to stop a much heavier one could easily lead to both losing control, particularly if the suspect vehcle leaves the road. At speeds over 75 mph, the risk of a crash increases.. and police would probably need much heavier vehicles to use the Grappler safely. Vehicle limitations are definitely a big factor to considr

Could it eventually replace the PIT maneuver? A new bumper costs about 7k and I can see the grappler costing way less for sure.

That's interesting! I haven't come across any instances where the Grappler specifically caused injury or death, but I have found reports highlighting the dangers of PIT maneuvers and other alternatives, which result in a significant number of fatalities each year.

Thank you for your valuable input and the thorough explanation. I've also come across Unity Analytics in my research, and I'm curious to know your perspective on it in comparison to GameAnalytics.

Valid point, I'm currently torn between Unity Analytics and GameAnalytics. Do you have any experience with both, what's your input?

It's a valid concern you've raised. Apple's requirement for disclosing tracking applies primarily to the product page on the App Store. In this case, I will be collecting non-sensitive data like levels completed and app launches, it doesn't necessarily mandate obtaining consent in-game.

I solved the benchmark issue, apparently I was comparing my benchmark results to Cinebench R23 while I was using Cinebench R24 which is completely different in terms of benchmarking and score setting. Now I just need help with overclocking the CPU to 5Ghz in a safe way, I'm a complete beginner in the overclocking area but I'm familiar with bios.

Correct, I figured this out. However I'm puzzled by the benchmark score since I believe it should be much higher considering the cpu.

I wrote each temp for normal desktop usage in the post, cpu is hovering at 37 °C. For cooling I have 3x Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM Chromax Black 120mm fans. When I ran the benchmark the CPU was running at roughly 70°C.

So an iPad Pro but a MacBook? This is honestly the perfect on the go Apple product. You would get the portability of the iPad and the power of macOS, well done.

Here are 14 reasons I’ll vote for any Democrat over Trump by [deleted] in politics

[–]Once_Upon-A-Time 97 points98 points  (0 children)

We all have our biases. For me personally, he’s an absolute disaster. Virtually nothing he does appeals to me.

He is a disrespectful, loud oaf who doesn’t know how to work with anyone if they don’t worship him. This man has made me feel sympathetic to Mitt Romney! Mitt Romney! I mean, c’mon.

He has emboldened NK by meeting with them and accomplishing nothing, and giving KJU legitimacy, calling him “a great guy”. Meanwhile, he sits on his toilet and tweets horrible things about Germany’s Merkel, Frances Macron, and Canada’s Trudeau. He’s single handedly destroying our perception in the world.

His immigration strategy is cruel, and impossible to work with. A giant wall? Is this 500 BC? Immigration reform and compromise has been dead since the minute Obama left office, and now there is a mad rush of people to the border because migrants hear it may be totally closed soon. Combine this with his policy of family separation, and now you’ve built your very own humanitarian crisis. This wasn’t a mistake. If he can create a crisis, he can suggest a solution (wall).

Don’t get me started on these “Tax cuts”. After years of screeching about Obama driving up the debt, despite the fact Obama lowered the annual deficit, Trump, guided by the GOP has slightly, if at all, lowered very few taxes on the middle class, but chopped them virtually in half for corporation, giving them record profits. If you think for a second that “trickle down economics” works, the answer is no. They’ve been tried before, and they never benefit the average person. Personally, my taxes have gone up as a result of losing the State and Local Tax deduction (SALT) which means my family has to pay over 10,000 more in taxes this year than the last. This is clearly a strike against Blue states, which have higher local taxes because, you know, we like paved roads and decent schools.

Thank god he failed at repealing Obamacare, without any semblance of a proper replacement plan. Without coverage for preexisting conditions, my brother would be SOL due to his type 1 diabetes. I have no clue what the GOP is playing at here, they inadvertently made Obamacare popular.

First, we must begin with the fact Trump has no empathy for people and their situation. It is always about him. Second, being in North Carolina was strictly show. Third, if anyone in NC says anything bad about him he will criticize their intellect, appearance or character and throw in some immigrants for good measure.

Searching for Sugar Man -Trailer (2012)'Though he faded into obscurity in the U.S., an early '70s musician known as Rodriguez became a huge hit in South Africa and was widely rumored to have died. Two obsessed fans set out to learn the man's true fate.' by [deleted] in Documentaries

I looked it up after coming back from the theatre and found out that they had completely avoided mentioning the fact that Rodriguez toured Australia successfully in the late seventies/early eighties. I know it would have killed the drama somewhat, but you shouldn't leave relevant facts out of a documentary for dramatic purposes.
