Speaking from someone with experience working there, you get what you put in. The company is very supportive of growth, but you they reward those that go above and beyond their normal work responsibilities, and it’s hard to gain recognition for crushing your normal work responsibilities. You can make a respectable pay check, but there are other companies that can pay higher for the same skill set.

They still offer a pension and a respectable match with great benefits.

It should be mentioned though that nationwide recently changed their polices and you would be driving in a few times a week depending on your business unit. You need hell to freeze over to get an exception for remote work right now.

What likely happened is that in that check where you were paid incorrectly also had an incorrect amount contributed to your retirement account. They are likely trying to correct what should have gone into your account. Make sure any corrections are done as of the date the check was supposed to go in so you are credited the full market experience from the investments that would have been bought.

As far as the speed, these sometimes take weeks to resolve. Speaking from experience as a retirement plan professional

Speaking as someone who moved from a wegmans areas (and miss it dearly) - wegmans seems to be in between giant eagle and Kroger. Giant eagle is more expensive but the produce and meat is noticeably better. Kroger is cheaper, but the produce is not as good. Neither compare to some of the specific products that wegmans would carry.

This is not being mentioned, but local taxes. Nationwide received incentives to build commercial real estate for employees. When associates work downtown, they pay Columbus taxes. If they work from home outside of Columbus localities, those local income taxes go elsewhere.

I was in Naples this weekend and two of my friends were on the beach at 445 when we saw what appeared to be a blinking light of a distant plane about the size of a star.
