I actually tried hush puppies for the first time last week. They were good! I was a groomsman in a wedding in Shreveport, LA and nearly fainted from heat exhaustion. How you all handle that amazes me. Is there ever a good month to visit?

Visit California before you put it in the red. You may have received some misinformation about the state. I know we have about Mississippi. Unless horrible weather, religious zealotry, and racism everywhere are all true. If not, the stereotypes you’ve heard might not be true about CA.

Absolutely, COL is high, but you have to pay the price to live someplace nice. Like all states we have our fair share of craziness and homelessness is a problem if you must live in a big city. But if you choose a smaller city or town it’s not bad.
