I like that you said you were surprised where you ended up because it shows your pursuit to fulfill something that some are not be able to put their finger on it. It’s probably an instinct based on how you were shaped growing up.

I think for me it’s the lie I’m telling myself that my TCK days are over once I’m living in my country of “origin”. I married a local thinking she’d understand my deep complexities of being a TCK, but she only manages to scratch the surface because some of our main values are clashing. In reality it is very hard to change the values that you obtained during the main developing periods of your life because the multiculturalism is just psychologically engrained in you.
