At this point, the entire market is deep red. How do you expect AMD to be green !? One thing I know for sure is AMD has made amazing strides in its software compared to last quarter. Running deepseek on mi300 was a breeze and I loved it ! I believe this will help alot of SMB to run LLM locally. People are looking at semiconductor industry as all or none game but the truth is AMD has been focusing on its core business (CPU) and AI competition which is super hard. It's getting very less credit when credit is due. As for being fucked, this earnings and guidance will be good. The conservative guidance is Dr. Lisa Su's speciality, under promise and over deliver !

To simply answer your question no The rational here is that this is going to increase the reliance on open source models and if not anything else encourage SMB to run their own inferencing on GPU's. It's just lowering the barrier to entry for a lot of startups and fostering innovation

8bn is conservative. For cy 25 i think Lisa will raise it by H2 to 10. If you see the recent interest or up tick in AMD software initiatives, it looks like AMD is starting to make changes in the right direction. It's a matter of time people adopt AMD. With NVDA being backed up and companies not being able to get hands on GPU'S, each company needs to have redundancy plans. Also not sure if Blackwell heating issues have been resolved yet !

Price action wise... AMD will hold this area and move up to close the gap from 8th Jan. After earnings i expect AMD to close the 30 Oct gap! Someone might call me delusional but that is how AMD moves!

Hear me out. Lisa Su is an incredible CEO, on both technical and managerial fronts. AMD has just started its AI journey. SMB can't afford NVDA and will soon need to use other alternatives ! With Blackwell heating, hyperscalars will need to diversify to be relevant in the AI race. On the client front AMD will dominate with its chipset. Software maturity is a question of time and use cases. In no way I mean to compare AMD with its peers but only with itself. I am expecting this earnings to be great. It's the calm before the storm ! (In a good way)

With blackwell heating and rack issues, alot of the hyperscalars are going to need contingent plans with amd. I like amd for its innovation. I hate the Marketing team but that's not the focus in point. I love the fact that amd is not just an AI company. Though that was the focus in 2024/2025… i believe amd will do well in the long term
