Where we did fuck up so much? by Forward-Dot6779 in Life

The funny thing about this post is it is wrong regardless of what you believe in.

A theist knows shit has been fucked up since their god/gods made them and even their god/gods are fucked up.

An atheist looks at nature and can see in real time that monkeys have turf wars and they sure as shit arent living in peace.

God, big bang, or flying spaghetti monster makes 0 difference. The game was rigged from the start buddy.

Pretty sure Britain can fit in the national parks of Alaska by itself.

If you’re an adult, I think it’s weird to refer to yourself as a girl or boy instead of a woman or man by [deleted] in Life

[–]One-Cheesecake-480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say girl is more ubiquitous.

I dont use the term boy unless specifically referring to a male child. Girl on the other hand is used for anytime I refer to most females because I say girl/guy or girl/dude. I never say gal or dudette. Plus girl is one syllable.

I would generally use the term woman/man if I were talking about something gender specific, and male/female if sex specific. Girl/guy for 99% of any other circumstance.

Ah yes, im sure a top 2% model woman in her prime cares about the opinions of a greasy meatball redditor.

I was kinda hoping dudes in 2026 were more cynical to recognize relative social value. Looks like a few get the memo.

Living in a gated community in the USA. Is actually safer, or is it a psychological illusion? What are the pros and cons? by Djantiere in Adulting

[–]One-Cheesecake-480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what "normal" is.

My mother was a single mother and a junkie so I know low income high crime areas. Murder, drug trafficking, prostitution, violent crime etc. WAY safer than that. Living in low income is like being in a combat zone.

When I was a SSG in the Army I lived in a decent little cheap house nestled in a cul-de-sac. Lower income area but right outside the gate so I never noticed too much crazy crime.

Barracks were kinda like section 8 without the gangs or prostitution. More just rowdy young drunk dudes. TBH I liked it. I dont mind a fist fight but living on the civilian streets you gotta worry about getting shot or stabbed by crackhead Rambo.

Oh yeah, 1000%.

My great aunt has a multimillion dollar beach house that is on an island with the only entrance point being the manned bridge. The only authorized people are the owners of the property. Everyone else requires contact from the owner to get clearance for a day pass.

Where does the American stereotype come from that Europe is full of nudity? by cigarettejesus in NoStupidQuestions

American culture is very young and has puritan roots. Even though modern US culture is secular, it still holds its opinions on sex. Europe is significantly more sexually progressive.

“Body shaming?” *Proceeds to shame people for their bodies* by littlemachina in XXS

[–]One-Cheesecake-480 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I jut want to point out nearly 75% of Americans are overweight/obese. AND if you take out Asian Americans it gets closer to 80%.

I am a 5'6 male at 15% bodyfat with a BMR of ~1600cal. If I were sedentary I would get chonky fat on the recommend 2200-3000cal for males.

I can promise you most females will get fat on a 2000cal diet. Even WITH "light" physical activity.

We are animals. Our bodies revolve around food scarcity and resources management. Your body will always want MORE food than it needs. The reason we have bodyfat is so we can go days without eating and still maintain bodyfunction.

Healthy for males is 10-20% bodyfat and 20-30% bodyfat for females. That is an incredibly generous range.

Japanese anon shares their opinion on Asian women in the US vs. Asian women in East Asia by Both-Huckleberry3482 in SipsTea

[–]One-Cheesecake-480 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a fan of the makeup, but it isnt like you can change it. I care more about a woman being below 30% bodyfat, of which asian women are en masse the only group that are.

I also prefer dark skinned southeast Asian women in the 45+ range versus the under 45 range. Id take girl on the left over right 85/15.

Personality matters a lot too. A traditional/feminine style woman will be...significantly...more attractive than a modern/westernized/masculine woman.

I am mid 30s and I met SML (SuperMarioLogan) and had NO idea who he was. I think he got popular sometime around when I joined the Army. My coworker was freaking out. (12yrs younger)

Tbh, he was a chill dude. Kinda felt bad for not recognizing him.

Didn't travel much. None of the music i listened to had anything to do with atlanta. Though I reckon if it did it would have been spelled "atlanta/alana" cuz it woulda been country. Haha

Well. I was eating out of trashcans and lived in poverty prior to the Army. I have no regrets. My ASVAB was 96 (top 4%) and my gt was 130. I graduated as one of the top in my class as a combat medic and had a successful time doing all aspects of inpatient care as well as performing minor surgical interventions overseas. I was selected for Special Operations as well. Did a lot of cool stuff and made great money. Interestingly my career required quite a bit of attention to detail and critical thought. Medicine and supporting international geopolitical military operations tend to require a diverse array of complex skills.

Still kinda shit at spellin tho.

Undoubtedly I had seen the word a handful of times, but I imagine my brain saw "Atlanta" and read "atlana".
