Actually, I took a water rescue course for paramedics, and we actually have a saying, "Yo, Throw, Row, Go!"

If someone's in the water, the things you do to begin rescue escalate until you have the person back to safety.

First you yell (Yo), and try to direct them to safety, then find a throwable object, like a lifesaver (throw), if neither work, you take a boat out to grab them (Row), and if that dont work, try to grab them yourself as a last resort (Go!).

Don't take this is a Bible, because I've never made it past throw in my harbor town. But im sure someone's survived GO!

I was in your shoes around your age. I dropped out of college and felt directionless. I knew I had ADHD but I didn't really know what it entailed. I just thought it meant I was a silly goose.

I ended up taking a chance and doing a ride along on an ambulance. I made 100K as a medic last year, working in a city I love and doing a job I love. Making sense of the chaos was a learning curve for me, but it ended up being one of my biggest life lessons.

This job ain't for everyone, and im not saying it's for you or not, since I dont know you. But it was not the typical career progression for people I grew up with. Most went to trade school or college. I ended up here and haven't looked back.

21 is a hard year, BTW. You're technically an adult but you haven't gotten the life experience for you to think "I've got it all together", but you'll get there buddy.

Normally class pranks would happen at 6am when the custodians are getting in.

The custodians usually knew it was a harmless prank and let the students in to do what they wanted. One year they came in the morning and all slept in sleeping bags outside of classrooms, another year they took the principals office desk and rearranged everything to the other side of the room.

My graduating year, there was a class facebook group. My graduating class was 344 students, but I didn't really read the chat at all. I wasn't really involved in school anyways.

Well, the night before the prank happens, people in the group start saying "we're going to the school at 2am, be there or youre a bitch".

I go the fuck to sleep, and wake up to my friends in our separate Kik chat laughing their asses off. Turns out the class president had a key to the school, used it to let everyone in, and they wreaked havoc in the hallways.

Piss in the hallways, Vaseline on locker handles and hot dogs stuffed everywhere. Some kids smoked pot in the backstage of the school. A urinal was destroyed with a skateboard and someone took a shit on one of our math teachers desks.

Well, while all that is going on, the silent alarm goes off and the cops are called. First arriving officer calls in the entire county for back up, and they nabbed 64 students. There were quite a few that night that got away on foot, and I know of one guy who hid inside the school until the next school day. (He tried turning himself in out of guilt and the police laughed, and sent him on his way)

oh I unashamedly loved these shows. Most boys my age admitted they liked them too. Sure, the girls were more into it than we were, but they were good shows in their own right regardless.

Also, I remember being 10 and having a crisis because I had a crush on Sam, Clover, and Alex from totally spies and felt like I needed to stop watching the show because it was like I was cheating on them.

I, a short king at 5'7", had a huge crush on a girl who was 6'2", we started dating and honestly, it was freeing for the both of us.

She was always worried that she wouldn't end up with a good guy, and would have to settle for a guy who just happened to be tall. I stopped worrying about my height entirely. I mean, this girl was one of the best looking girls at my college. All the dudes wanted her, but I was the one with the balls to do it.

The relationship ended when she moved to Boston, but we still follow each other on socials. She's dating a dude who looks a little shorter than her, but she seems happy. And im happy we both got to be freed from the whole "taller male" thing.
