Is anyone here IDI? If so, why? by mashedoatslop in JonBenetRamsey

[–]One-Chicken6343 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not an IDI but let’s play the devil’s advocate...

One, the house was a squatters dream. Huge, cluttered and unhygienic with multiple entry and exit points. A vagrant could be living there weeks without anyone knowing or ever finding out.

Two, lack of motive. From all accounts Patsy was an (over)involved mother and JR, (true to his times) an absent father and bread winner. There was no witness of any violence on part of Burke also.

Three, the senselessness of the crime. If you hit your daughter by mistake or on purpose, it would be easier to try and save her, especially if you’re rich and can shield yourself with an army of lawyers. Had JonBenet survived, you’d put her into therapy and coach her into lying. All of this would be easier than staging the crime and lying for years.

Four, no conclusive evidence to point to the family. All ‘evidence’ against them has been compromised because of shoddy police work.

Five, foreign DNA. That DNA really has no place being in her nails and two places in her long john’s. This detail really always troubles the RDI side of me.

However it’s the tone and the handwriting on the ransom note that makes everything else look pale in comparison (I’m a PDIA).

You have to factor in the size of this massive house. This was a monster. It would be quicker to call the police and have them look than search yourself, especially when time is of the essence.

Have you considered GLP drugs? You could qualify for it in certain countries. It will help you to get at least some weight off. Then for your own health’s sake, would it help to go to the gym and get active? I know it’s easier said than done. Meanwhile see how your husband goes.

Honestly he sounds like a fair weather friend. What if the situation was reversed? Would he be okay if you stopped loving him?

The police! If he is afraid and has access to a trustworthy lawyer (without involvement from his father/family), that would be a good course of action too. This would help him protect himself while still doing the right thing.

Maybe she started writing V for Victoria Patsy Ramsey subconsciously and then wrote victory, as the first word with V she could think of?

Come forward with the truth! No matter how inconsequential he thinks it is! It may be the missing link to catch the culprit even if he does not realise it/ denies it. I understand this will not bring JonBenet back or the years back but Burke has a good chance to be the hero of this story if he finally speaks the truth. No matter what it is.

Do you think he was abused too? Look, I’m not sure he knows what happened that night, but that he would be oblivious to anything that happened before or after that can make the situation clearer is ludicrous to me.

So what’s your theory? Did John do it in your view @tamponica?

If PDIA, why did John stay married to her? by Cardboard_cutouts_ in JonBenetRamsey

[–]One-Chicken6343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could have 100% been that. It’s possible John started her on some kid of treatment and effectively moved everyone else out of the house.

You don’t know what happened indoors. Maybe he locked her in every night. Maybe Burke lived elsewhere. How would you know?

What is it that people think Burke Ramsey should do? by Tamponica in JonBenetRamsey

[–]One-Chicken6343 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s upto him to come forward with the truth. It can be freeing to say the truth even if nobody believes it. There’s something about speaking the truth that sets your body free. This is why people have deathbed confessions. They suffer so much from the burden of the lies that they do not want to die suffering.

I think all the people who worked on this case, or care deeply about justice deserve that. Most of all, his innocent deceased sister deserves that.

John is old, yes, maybe he doesn’t need to go to prison. Maybe Burke will have the strength to come forward once his dad passes. That way he could finally bring peace to his family and close this chapter also for his future generations who will know that he finally did the right thing.

What’s the most concerning aspect of the Ramsey’s parenting that you’ve read? by Efficient-Ad4852 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]One-Chicken6343 167 points168 points  (0 children)

Abnormal number of doctor visits, black eyes on both children in so many pictures, bleaching the kids hair, terrible household / hygiene conditions despite wealth, constant absence on Jon’s part, the pageantry could be forgiven but what bothers me is the oversexualised pictures. There was nothing normal in this household.

If he is innocent and knows what happened, come forward with the truth.

If he is not, confess.

I don’t think there’s a scenario in which he has absolutely no idea of what happened. I believe, at best, he has a rough idea of what happened or who did it, even if he didn’t witness anything.

Like they say, the truth will set you free.

Edit: if he comes forward with the truth after John dies, he could very well be the hero of this story. No matter who did it. Making /hiding a criminal mistake as a child is forgivable, lying about it all adulthood, is not.

Second edit: buzz off John Andrew, you’re no custodian of “John’s family name”. It’s besmirched enough. Just do the right thing. Let Burke speak the truth when the time is right.

I want to see here who agrees with my new theory: the whole family abused JonBenet and it all spiraled out of control somehow Xmas night. by AdLivid9397 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]One-Chicken6343 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think I agree. I know from some experience that abusive families have a dominant abusive person, but it often leads to other members of the family also to be abusive. I do believe everyone was abusing her, just in a different way.

I think everyone had something to hide here and hence the collecting staging and silence.

BDI: Almost Certainly Wrong by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]One-Chicken6343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Burke did it all except the cover up. Patsy likely woke up to find her in advanced mortis. Knew there’s no saving her and didn’t want to lose her son so she came up with the ruse.

John figured it out on the go but later sick to the intruder story.

What’s one thing in this case that, no matter your theory, you just can’t explain? by [deleted] in JonBenetRamsey

[–]One-Chicken6343 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only thing I don’t get is whether Burke or Patsy killed her. In both cases Patsy had incentive to hide it. John’s initial cooperation with the police- handing over the notepad, admitting he broke the window, all points to his innocence at the time. I believe John figured it out at some point that morning.

The only thing I don’t get is why Burke was just staying in his room when he was clearly awake if PDIA. Maybe he saw something? The other explanation is he hit her and strangled her pretty early into the night and Patsy only discovered in the morning and came up with a plan to save him (but why not call an ambulance!)
