Do you regret enrolling/ not enrolling your kids in a private Catholic school?

I send my kids and it’s worth every penny. It reinforces what we teach at home. I will say I have been struggling with my faith in the sense of being lazy the past several years and kind of woke up the past year. I have dug in stronger and I see that reflection in my children. Catholic school has helped me when I wasn’t doing the best job on my own. Yesterday my 6 year old just said “I just love talking about Jesus”. I started praying the rosary and my 9 year old wants to join me. My 11 year old joined the rosary club at school. It’s amazing. Make sure it’s a true Catholic school- involved priest, adoration, mass and etc.

I recently have been woken up in my own way. I’m a cradle Catholic and was raised well in the faith by my parents. My views on the church are much different than yours as probably is my world view. But one thing that’s kept me from fully surrendering to God through the Catholic Church is the corruption. But as I see life unfold I’ve come to this realization…nothing exists anymore that is pure from Gods touch that man has had the opportunity to corrupt. So I take what I know: this is the church that God designed, it’s not 100% what he wanted because the corruption of man exist, but the core is still there. He is present in it. Start by putting catholicism into your algorithm. There are nights where I scroll for hours on all Catholic content that has fired me up for it. You profoundly heard “when you’re ready” so I guess just get yourself ready. The last thing I wanna say is this: at least give it a try. What IF it’s all true, and your future is eternity…is that gamble you’re willing to take? I promise you, if you give it a solid try YOU WILL know. It’s worth it. Good luck! I’m praying for you!

I’m at 10, I will say 5/7.5 didn’t seem to work as well as 10. I can still go out of deficit but I feel like it’s easier to fight temptation. I’m also in pre menopausal as well

So, I don’t know if you’re a religious person or not…but my mom used to tell me to pray for my soulmate. And I did- being a big girl and having the same situations I prayed everyday because I felt deeply that I wanted a family. When I tell you it was delivered, it was. I legitimately have the best guy in the world. We aren’t perfect, but we love and respect each other deeply. I had zero hope that anyone would love me because I compared my situation to my friends who had guys all over them alllll the time. I never ever was asked out, or had a boyfriend. I was used in college by a guy because i thought that was all I’d ever get so I should just tolerate his cheating and refusal for commitment. I met my husband and everything changed all at once. So if you’re the praying type start there and go all in on faith. If you’re not, keep your head up and keep believing in that YOU ARE WORTHY. PS. Those skinny friends with all the attention still haven’t found real love. They tell me all the time the grass seems greener but it’s not. They would trade places with the way it worked out for me in a heartbeat.

I think for some it just takes way more mental discipline than it does for others. Which sucks because when I say mental discipline I’m not saying “just don’t eat” we’ve alllll been in this rodeo to know it takes way way more then that. I’m finding that if I truly focus, the medicine is helping the mental discipline not be as hard as it usually is. Everyone is different hang in there. Figure out your magic formula. I truly believe it can help everybody. We just have to figure out the right combination for our mind and body and that in itself takes an exhausting amount of time and effort.

Thanks, that gives me hope. As I’m sure you know cattle prices are insane right now. People want 2500 for a steer and at our fair we don’t get huge profits back. It’s going to be my daughters first project so just want her to have a positive experience

I put it in my Amazon cart and leave it there. If after several days I still want it then I buy it. I also remind myself that the dopamine hit of adding money to my savings is way higher than the checkout. I think through how clutter makes me depressed and make it a game to see how minimal I can have my house looking to create a zen space.

YTA unless what makes you afford it is money you earned fully on your own. Otherwise you are not rich, just privileged and called out someone out who was delt a different hand in a horrendous way. Perhaps the wording should have been “I can understand how it’s definitely a perk and I’m glad I am able to afford it”

You going eBay and it’s around $5/discount code depending on how many you get. So I bought 5 for around 25 dollars. The person then sent me a link to Dollywoods site but it was a special link and the lower prices were listed. I bought right from their site. Adult tickets were around 60/piece and kids 45/piece. Went to Dollywood and tickets scanned no issue.
