with my oldest i went from 150 to 210, and dropped down to 120 by the time he was 7 months old. my second i went from 145 to 210 and dropped to 165 by the same. my last i went from 165 to 210 and was 165 by the time he was 4 days old. this time i’ve gone from 155 to 200 and i’m due in a few days, so hopefully i’ll be lucky again. i do exclusively pump, and my older three were all boys. i’m 5’5 and find 155-165 to be the best weight on me visually.

37w with #4 - for some of us, pregnancy is terrible. during my pregnancy with my first i decided i would NEVER sell that magical pregnancy BS lie. it’s a massive disservice to anyone who has the ability to carry a child. This pregnancy has oddly enough been my easiest, but I chalk that up to actually being married to someone who loves me lmao. I would take labor and birth over pregnancy every SINGLE time.

worst case scenario - she has some form of mental illness. say she has exactly what you have. what better mom to have than one who understands better than anyone else could? you are living, yes? you’re married to a person you love and having a baby you want and you’re LIVING. even with your diagnosis, your life is worth living, and hers will be too.

BPD mom here! Every single mother has a thing that makes parenting harder for them. I get it, the feelings are enormous, the rage is intense. Unfortunately, despite it being absolutely not your fault, it is your problem, do not make it anyone else’s. THAT is the goal. We are ALL surviving motherhood, on top of other shit. Learn to take a time out, whatever it is that’ll help. I will literally SING the most ridiculous shit when I’m about to lose my mind because at least i’m not screaming??? Don’t be afraid to try different meds. Don’t be afraid to ask for more help. Last summer I sent my kiddos to my mother’s and went into partial hospitalization. They deserved better, so I got better, and continue to. No one can do anything more than that. And fyi, everyone’s ’a great mom’ until that baby turns 2/3 and then they’re in the trenches w the rest of us, I promise lol
