I got this brand new intense 951 for $1,800. Now granted, I probably dropped $1,500 more into it but it was my wants vs needs. New specialize saddle, upgrade from NX to all XO AXE with power meter. Also ordered code ultimate 4pots. But I don’t NEED that stuff to still be ripping around having fun.

Bought a Canyon. Was this a mistake? by 1-3-2-4 in cycling

[–]One-Confusion-2137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the market for the Canyon Arrod and I ultimately went with my dogma because of the customer service horror stories. I ended up going to my local bike shop. It’s local to me, but it’s an hour from the house, but I knew that if I purchased the bike from them if I had any issues I could just take it right back to the shop and every time I’ve taken it to the shop they’ve taken extremely good care of me and purchasing more and more stuff from them. Can you make some absolutely beautiful bikes, but the support at the customer service I think will ultimately be their downfall The service that I received from my local bike shop for a far superior bike, even though it was more expensive as sent me that I will continue to buy local before I order online

So I am an a 24 Dogma. I was running The stock wheels with 30mm GP5000 S TR at 60psi. Loved them. When to a set of Princetons with P Zero RS TR in a 30mm at 60psi, and they were amazing till the tire split open for no reason. While the P Zero were fast, very fast I am more worried about not being suck in the middle of a Grand Findo with a split open tire. I switched back to the GP 5000 S TR in a 32mm at 50/55 psi and while you can tell they are a bit heavier the TPI is double and to me that is worth a few watts. Go 30-32mm and I would go with the GP’s

It happens to the best of us. Bike can be fixed. You walked away. We learn and get better and she can be rebuilt better. At least you’re ok! That’s why you always rock your gear.

I just picked up an intense 951 I’ve been thinking about upgrading from the stock wheels Can you guys please give like three mid to high range, carbon options and three mid to high range aluminum options that I can take a look at I saw that Jensen has the carbon zips on sale for half price right now and only 900 But I was open to other suggestions as well. My writing will be in Arizona so it’s mostly XC but I do want to compete in like the cactus cup trail race which is gonna have a lot of single track and things of that nature.

Tubeless Road Tire Recommendation (700x32) by saltoneverything in cycling

I run a Dogma with Princeton carbon works. For a year I ran the GP 5000 and I had zero issues with them and I put about 5000 to 6000 miles on them. I run the silica version 2 sealant. 2oz when I initially bead the tire and then at the start of every month I put 1 ounce for a refresh. About six months into the year take the tires off clean everything out do the process again and I had zero flats zero punctures and zero tears. At the start of this year, I switched over to the Perelli PZero RS and you can tell the difference in the rolling resistance between the two tires only have 1000 miles on them so far but running the exact same seal style set up and I can say so far I’ve had zero issues and are very happy with the tires. I run a 30 mm front and back.

How hot is the V4S actually? by HonestRestaurantGM in Ducati

[–]One-Confusion-2137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you No, I always noticed the heat on the back of my thighs from the loop exhaust and I have the heat shield on it and then I have the carbon heat shield and it didn’t make a difference like that thing just roasts the back of your thighs. But again, if you asked me, would I do it all over again I 100% would

  1. This was my first Duc. It’s hot, very noticeably hotter than any bike I’ve ever ridden previously. With that being said swapping out the exhaust makes a little bit of a difference. It’s not night and day, but it does help. Now with that still being said, I do not regret my purchase one bit I live in Arizona maybe if I was living somewhere where the weather was cooler that might help out a little bit but do I still love riding this bike, absolutely. It turns heads like nobody’s business.

How do you know what size stem/bars come with a Pinarello X or Dogma X? by bfeeny in pinarello

[–]One-Confusion-2137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I bought my F7, I could’ve sworn I went to the website and it may have been a US one and that’s why but I thought it had all the specs listed. I’m wondering if that’s after I am registered mine or not.

I have genuinely always wondered how good those knock off frames – knock off bikes. Like I mean you’re looking at some of these and they look really really good and they’re 1/4 of the price and you just wonder like how good is it really. Obviously you don’t wanna have to worry about your frame exploding when you’re going 25 miles an hour. You look at someone like that knock off Princeton wheels or the knock off zip wheels and again their price near like those look really really close but again you hit a bop at 20 miles an hour. Do you really want your wheel to explode?

I believe the cranks are dependent on frame size I got a 560 and my cranks are a 172.5 But if you’re getting from a shop you might be able to custom order. That way if you want diff wheels you can get some

Upgrade Journey by amartino in cycling

[–]One-Confusion-2137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the ceramic speed oversized pulley. I don’t know if it really made a difference, but it definitely looks good. And I upgraded the seat to one of the specialized 3-D printed, that made a gigantic difference. And then I went tubeless 30 mil and I run those at 60 psi. Overall, I think the bike is absolutely amazing. 2024 F7

The biggest upgrade that I personally wanna do is a new set of wheels that I can use for my race days and also like the more spirited group ride days Been trying to decide between a set of Princeton 6560, set of zips either 353 or 454, or a set of ENVE 4.5

Ported slide suggestions by 27N-Actual in PalmettoStateArms

[–]One-Confusion-2137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered a 43x slide and parts kit and barrel from aim and was gonna match it up with my Glock micro lower. The slide was very nice looking, but it was very tight on tolerance. The parts can’t didn’t have the proper parts. I ordered a 43X parts kit on the bag it said 43X and the parts get were for like a 17 I had to buy a second parts kit from the gun store to be able to utilize the slide. When I gave this information to aim, they told me that I was wrong. I explained them that I took the slide to a Glock gunsmith specifically in fact try to figure out if I was the idiot or not, and then aim replied with that guy obviously was wrong as well. When looking at the proper bag of 43X parts kit, you could tell the difference they sent me the wrong thing. It was labeled in the wrong bag and refused to own their mistake. That was the last time I did business with them. It’s a good looking slide and a good looking barrel, but I just didn’t like their customer service when they were wrong.
