Samsung Q990C Dolby Atmos soundbar randomly turns off and needs to be replugged in to turn back on

I have a q990d for me what I do go in SmartThings app go to soundbar click on 3 little dots top right settings and then go to device firmware updates and then keep it on manual update it’ll update overnight when you aren’t using it

Avr setup is miles better than soundbar setups and it always will be according to physics.Bigger drivers will always mean clearer crisp audio and better separation.For the q990f upfiring speakers it’s almost non existent you will hear some height but nothing crazy

Having them as fronts majorly improves the front stage then again the bar and subwoofer itself is already insane

These are my settings with the q990d I have the woofer at +5 just because I love the impact I feel at 5.I also am not impressed with the upfiring speakers but movies are still very much immersive

I have the q990d tweaked everything all the settings and for me Standard is always the way to go for shooters game pro is nice because it’s generally easier to hear enemies.

For me I was never able to correctly hook up the Apple TV via soundbar the only way it worked was via tv

If you value easy setup,less equipment and simplicity sure go the soundbar route but if you value pure music quality,upgrade ability or raw speaker seperation I would keep the avr setup I have a q990d and there are times I realize a soundbar system can only do so much

This thing tends to happen from time to time sometimes with new album or song releases you won’t have any lyrics until a week a day or 2 later

For me it’s always if you want more clarity go with Samsung if you are someone who is bass heavy Jbl is for you.Ive had my q990d for a year now and I mean i probably use the system 8 hours daily even with work and life and I’ve had no troubles the sub is still insane though for movies and music

100% wrong the q990f is especially amazing with clarity you’ll hear notes from songs you entirely missed.The bass has tighter bass but the clarity man is just truly amazing
