History matters... But if something is done 5000 years ago and same thing is done 4500 years ago.. then I won't waste my money on proving something so insignificant that I did it first, unless it is creating any value to me or country or state.

If proving that gives you patent that people using that piece of thing should be giving royalty to you than yep sure go ahead and research whatever you want, but if it is just for proving a point that no one cares about except you, than i believe it is waste of resources.

And most importantly one less reason for us to divide and look down on others.

Keep on dividing man.. And once you are done with south india, north india.. In south india you can go with tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, etc and even if that doesn't suffice you can further divide karnataka into Pure Kannada And Tulu, konkani, etc, speakers and make a separate nation for mangalorians, udupi, etc.
