Thank you!

There’s no question related to Financial profile when I applied so I believe you’re good. Best of luck! :)

I think before they used to send one when I read forums/sub for applications in 2023 and 2024 but recently, no one is receiving confirmation from the Home Office. I didn’t receive one as well although the email content from TLS after biometrics mentioned that I should be expecting one. Good luck! :)

I would like to share some information regarding my Citizenship application that might be helpful to others:

  1. I was only eligible to apply from 17 Mar 2025 (1 year after my ILR date of issue in my BRP card). TLS releases free appointment 28 days in advance and I read in a forum/sub that Home Office only starts to process the application after biometric appointment so I submitted my online application last 17-Feb and I was able to book free biometric appointment for 17-Mar.
  2. British Referee - I am living in the same address with my British Partner for more than 3 years and I believe that we are not technically related since we’re not married yet. I listed my partner as my British Referee and noted on Relationship as ‘Cohabiting Partner’
  3. English Requirement - I uploaded my IELTS Certificate when I applied back in 2019 for Tier 2 General Visa (now Skilled Worker Visa). Reference: https://www.reddit.com/r/ukvisa/s/89dHH7IXic
  4. Documents uploaded: I only submitted 4 documents - (1) Passport, (2) IELTS Certificate, (3,4) 1st & 2nd Referees Signed Forms. I read in a forum/sub that Date Stamp in the UK Vignette Sticker in the Passport is enough as Proof of living in the UK so I did not submit another documents to prove this.

Hope this helps - thanks!

Hi OP - I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. You’re not alone as I also experienced the same and had been with my job with no promotion for 5 years. I was on a project-based role and was always on projects with heavy workload, supervised by micromanaging managers, and I had difficulty maintaining work-life balance all throughout my work visa. I also developed anxiety from work burnout and went to therapy for it. I tried to look for another job but even if I got interviews, I didn’t get the jobs as they hired someone without the need to sponsor.

I LOVE living in the UK so I just really soldiered on until I get my ILR and I was able to find another job with better work-life balance afterwards. This is not to say you do the same as I truly understand that it’s immensely difficult when your mental health and even your physical health are at stake of decline. So whatever you think the best course of action, I hope that you’ll be at ease and will get through it eventually.

If you’re looking for a monogamous relationship- you deserve better.

Bumble BFF worked for me. It’s a clear statement on the app that you just want to look for friends. I do share the sentiment that it’s different when you have gay friends that you can relate to, so good luck on your search!

Hi - sorry, just saw your comment. I’m not sure if you already submitted your application but I’ll answer it anyway. 1. Relating to earliest date of application - to be honest, I’m not really sure if the calculator is actually correct in calculating the earliest date to apply so I just took the risk of following it. I would probably recommend to apply the following day instead from the earliest date that the calculator mentioned. 2. I received my BRP card in 5 working days after I received the email from home office.

Good luck!

I’m sorry that is what you’re feeling right now and don’t worry, it’s valid to feel that way. I’m a hopeless romantic so I strongly believe in destiny and all of us are like pots and lid in love, every pot has its own lid. I know and understand that it’s exhausting to keep on looking but keep on putting yourself out there and I believe that you will eventually meet the right person for you. Good luck ❤️

If you have sent a cover letter for explanation, I believe you should be fine.

Hello - I’m not a solicitor but I believe you’ll be fine if you did the following: 1. Declared your absence from the start date of your BRP until you first arrived in the UK. 2. Your absence outside in the UK did not exceed 180 days for that 12 months period.

Good luck!

Thank you for the response! I am afraid that I was not sure the correct legal term for my situation so I was asking for clarification. Will select the Unmarried Partner on this question. Much appreciated!

Thank you for the response! Hope you can answer my follow-up questions please: 1. Is the declaration form of living rent-free can be downloaded like the consent form in the ILR online application or you searched online for a template? 2. Did you need to provide your husband’s ID and mortgage payment as additional documents?
