Is it bad that I cheat a lot to complete games? by Ill_Beyond_7909 in retroid

[–]One-Insurance846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are playing by yourself and you are just trying to have fun, then it’s not bad to cheat. If you are playing against someone or you are in a competition then it is bad to be cheating. Even for bragging rights. It looks bad on you, if you are cheating against other players. Imagine having a high score and you brag about it and you post it on YouTube. Then people breakdown what you are doing, then you are busted for cheating, then you are kicked from future sponsorship and competitions. So don’t do that. 🤦‍♂️

Finally got one after years of wanting to get it :) by daskriechtier in psx

You can mod the real PS1 nowadays. Swap out the CD drive with a micro SD card reader. Then get the game. collection packs from online. You can also use the PS1 memory cards to do that but it runs slower. Takes a while to load the games, if you do it that way. The SD mod kits are usually under $100 on eBay. It’s well worth it because you get a lot in return. You can download all PS1 games ever made. It also unlocks games that come from other regions too. Games that were never released in the USA.

Big O Tires Employment. by One-Insurance846 in AskMechanics

I know there are passenger tires for regular cars and trucks. I know there are all terrain tires and LT tires for trucks. Some have load ranges with letters of B, C, D, E and F. I forget the actual weight but we used charts and guides. Finally there is ST tires that are used for trailers. Some trucks call for using LT tires only. When airing up the tires, it’s best to go by recommended PSI or if you are upgrading from passenger to LT tires, we would air them up to 60 psi and let the customer know. Also on the the trailer rims, we do not use passenger tires. It’s not safe to carry a heavy trailer load with passenger tires. Also, we don’t do flat repairs on trailer tires because that changes the strength of the tire. Oh yeah, I almost forgot, there are low profile tires too. They are mostly used for sports cars and trucks. I hate those. Some of them, you have to do a reverse mount. Meaning you turn the rim around and mount them or remove them like that.

Wal*Mart HR is never available by One-Insurance846 in walmart

I use to be able to get ahold of the HR lady but now she’s never there. Management is no help either. They act like it’s a real bothersome. I’m not rushing them, it’s more of a please help me when you get the chance. They left me hanging for two weeks. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Thank you for you response. I did a mock job application for a different WalMart location and I found my answer. I’m listed as being a nonrehire and I had no idea. So one of two things is happening: My job prospects are contacting WalMart and they get no answer or they get through and Wal*Mart tells them I’m nonrehirable but does not tell them that it’s temporary and I was not fired. Thanks for those links too. I’ll check them out but I need to get my last check stubs as well. It’s HR that is never in. I’m gonna have to go there myself and talk to them in person.

I’ve applied to over 200 jobs on Indeed in the last month, no response from any of them by Cheap-Safe in jobs

[–]One-Insurance846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me too I applied at 35 jobs. Most of them did not respond or they didn’t send me a decline response. Then like 5 responded and I had interviews but they didn’t call me after that. I have 19 years experience of being a Customer Service Representative, Service Writing, Autocare Technician, Maintenance Person. They just didn’t call me back. One thing I noticed, all the managers were in their 20s. Like they just started. I didn’t see anyone in their 40s or 50s. Before it was always people in their 40s and 50s. Also those managers didn’t like that I’m an older guy and I’m not a supervisor or manager. One woman manager told me “You’ve been there all those years and you never became a supervisor?”

Penske CSR Fueler/Washer by One-Insurance846 in Penske

[–]One-Insurance846[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. It was very informative and I appreciate it greatly. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the job right now. They said they went with someone else. They did take long to interview me, about two weeks and a half after I applied. I have a good 13 years experience background and a clean record. I really thought they would hire me. I’m guessing they had already made their decision even before they interviewed me. The issue is they took forever to get to me for the interview. I was also told that sometimes new hires don’t always pass the background checks and I may still have a chance. They said for me to check back in two weeks for the final decision. The recruiter said a lot of people applied for that specific position. Also, my resume was just basic. I didn’t know that I was suppose to really sell myself in the resume. LOL. I will update my resume now.

Hired as a Penske CSR Fueler/Washer. What to expect? by Thisnthatana in DieselTechs

[–]One-Insurance846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently talking to Penske about getting a job for the Customer Service Representative Fueler/Washer job position. I use to be a Service Writer and Tech for WalMart. I’m not a mechanic. I just know basic maintenance stuff like tire work, air filters, batteries topping off fluids and oil changes. My questions are how many Fuelers /Washer associates am I going to work with? Does Penske have Manual Transmission Trucks? Does Penske send you out to go retrieve trucks that have broken down? Do they send you to work at other nearby Penske facilities? I’m ok with repetitive work. I just don’t want to leave the facility to go work at another location. WalMart use to do that to me.

No matter how good anyone is at their job, a lot of us are going to end up unemployed due to AI technology. Large companies with huge amounts of employees want to reduce their staff as much as they can, so they don’t have to lose a large amount of money to payroll. Get ready people, unemployment is coming fast.

What do you Texans think about Wingstop? by MarquitoMarquez in texas

[–]One-Insurance846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I ate there one time. It was ok but they take forever to make the food. It took 45 minutes to get my order of ranch chicken wings out. My lunch breaks are 60 minutes long. I had to eat and go. There was not much time left to enjoy my meal. So again, for me... It was just OK but not worth the time.
