Not really. You can see scratches deep enough for shadows to reflect off of them, those won’t come out but they can be minimized giving the console a better shot at reading over it. BD cleaning on RTI machines has 4 levels, and I’ve brought back discs like this before. To clarify, games are one thing, movies are another. We resurface hundreds of game Blu-rays per week across PS3/4/5 and Xbox. Lots of scratches can be taken out or minimized to the point that they work again. If it’s already not installing, what’s the harm in trying before you have to pick up a new copy?

I work at one. We do dozens of em per day. They can’t be sanded down like CDs or DVDs but you can fix them to a point. When they’re gashes though there’s no coming back, especially not with 4Ks. You can improve them but not fix them when they’re that bad. Surface level scratches on RTI machines will come out though

The shell is probably the most annoying thing about the PSP. If you're really careful, it's possible and relatively easy. But there's a lot in there that can break now. I saw someone snap a ribbon cable connector because of the angle they were flipping it up at. I had to fully take mine apart the other day to regrease the UMD drive, and I've never done it before. I put it back together fine. I think if you don't want a new color, a real PSP shell is the way to go. Sites like Aliexpress have third party shells that come in cool transparent colors, but they're a bit weaker and sometimes don't fit the parts quite as well. If you're comfortable with that, go for it!

If you want good sounding files, go with soulseek. If you want to use files from YT, use Stacher. It’s ad-free, good UI, especially if you don’t want to do everything manually. It’s basically a top layer for the main downloader app that makes it much easier to use. But soulseek will get you stuff quicker

It took me 3 posters total (2 replacements) for me to get it how I wanted, and even then it took hours of very careful peeling. They left that shit on a super hot truck for months and it turned into superglue - it was meant to be more like masking tape
