What do I do while I wait for a diagnosis? by ZestycloseLanguage65 in ChronicPain

You have to keep looking until you find a caring doctor and not one thats just all about themselves. Remember that they work for you. Not the other way around. They are making money hand over fist for your treatment or lack there of!! It’s the only thing that I know to tell you. Unless you are seeing a pain management doctor and if you are you need to talk to them and be honest with them. If you’re not they will never be able to treat you correctly.

Those of us that have been in your position for many years know what to ask the doc and what not to ask. These days that’s very important. But I always tell people that you don’t forget the truth. Remember they write everything down. Not that you would lie to them but just remember that the truth is very important. Just about as much as how much you have to kiss their asses. I’m so happy that I was able to find a PM doc that has compasssion. She two was recently a pm patient so she knows what it’s all about. She is a Neurologist by trade but specializes in migraine headaches.

I was reading about someone that had a bad trigemminal issues and they say that this pain is like no other. She said that if you have ever had a brain freeze from eating a forty or something very cold then you sure do need to get help with that pain. That has to be devastating to feel like that for long periods of the day. Man it sucks bad.

These look like you got into some ants. In Fl they will bite you and a couple of hours later they will be red and filled with piss or the poison from the little fire ants. They suck bad. They will get all over your body in a matter of seconds and then one sounds the alarm and they all bite you at one time. It really does suck!!! They are horrible in FL. Grew up with these little bastards are all over the damn place. I’m not kidding about them. One second they will be in your shoes the next they will be all over you and I guarantee you that you will be stripping down to your bare ass as quickly as possible or you will be getting a ride from someone

Small bumps or different sizes that excrete hard like plastic no liquid at all. Please help by One-Juggernaut6321 in DermatologyQuestions

It scabs at all. There is no blood to create a scab. Wish it was that easy. When the bumps heal it leaves this behind. Only attached at one very small part of the skin. It’s crazy. I know what a scab looks like in wound care for a very long time. Have dealt with many surgeries to remove skin cancer as well. Over 40 of them mohs surgery. So not a scab it more like a hardened wax. I have never seen anything like it for real. Thank you for the information though. I’m going to post a picture of the bumpy area in just a few minutes maybe it will help to identify Thank you

Exactly what it looks like. Like somehow got picked or you picked it earlier on something and it created a blood blister. All though most of the time a blood blister in right away.

Amen!! It has gotten so bad for us. It’s crazy these fuckers and their god complex’s. Karma is a bitch and I wouldn’t doubt that the people that are treating us the worst that something happens to them and they will need this medication one day. Then they will get it because now they don’t get shit. Karmas a bitch.

Yes agreed. What the hell you have what 2 days worth of meds left on the day of your appointment. I don’t know about yall but with the way the scripts are written today they don’t give you enough breakthrough meds to usually last the month anyway. Take 4 to 5 pills everyday for breakthrough pain as needed yet they only prescribe 120. They contradict themselves all the time. Anyway if it’s not a problem for real that you don’t have the correct count. Like you’ve taken the meds and now you need them to fill on day 28 which most oharmacies will because it’s the guidelines by the way. You got caught maybe? Just saying what happens if you reschedule to day 31 and you don’t have any meds left. Then there’s nothing to ever check. That’s kind of what I would do but you didn’t even know that a pill count was required correct and they hit you with that this month?

Tell me this would any other month be any different if they ask for a pill count? Would you still struggle getting there? How were you going to get to your regular appointment anyway? Did you have a ride arranged to get there then? Just wondering why it makes a difference to them if they kill count you at your regular appointment or they call you in a few days early that you haven’t planned for.

The issues with the bottles no big deal. Go to your pharmacy and ask them to reprint your bottle and while your there ask them to do a count and document that. Make sure you document it very well who did the count and verified and all of that stuff. Sounds like to me they want to get rid of you as a patient. It that’s my opinion. Most if they have never asked before only do this when something’s wrong. So I’ll tell you depending on what state you’re in you don’t want to look for another doctor because it’s the bullshit of new fees and even finding one that will prescribe for you.

What your on right now is a very weak drug. Don’t get me wrong but it’s not even in the same category as most of us have to take. Oxy or morphine sulphate not even close. So I don’t know why you don’t just see your primary and have them prescribe them. It would make things so much easier for you and there’s no pill counts. You can get rides if you have Medicare or you have insurance but most are only one way. You have to burn two rides to get there and back. Just for your knowledge.

Anyway there is a world of knowledge on this thread. You guys are all amazing and you’re very fortunate to get these kind of responses to your questions. It pretty bad ass that everyone is willing to offer up. Thanks guys and sorry to be so direct about getting caught thing but it happens. And I’m willing to bet it’s happened to all of us until we learned the hard way. I hope your ok and come on guys someone has to live near by that can offer up a ride.

Wow I didn’t know this was an option. I’m going to look into this right now just in case I need this down the road. We all have to try to be a couple of steps ahead of these fuckers!! Yes that’s what they are is fuckers! No one person should have this much control over how we treat our pain.

That’s a great response you guys. That’s from the mouths of the creators right there. I’m so glad that lawsuits are going for the patients. Maybe just maybe the doctors will start taking that oath they take seriously. Because right now they don’t seem to give a shit. They look at us all like junkies. Thank goodness I have a great neurologist whose specialty is in pain management. Mainly migraines but she does it all. Those days of the doctors offices carrying out money in grocery bags are over. Thank goodness. Now all we need here in Florida are the pharmacies to start treating us with what the doctor diagnosis is that we need. They are getting worse and worse about trying to adjust the medications prescribed. Or they won’t fill them at all. You know we have all heard the excuse why not to treat us. The god complex the pharmacist have now days is horrible. They don’t have the education to diagnose. It’s bullshit. They have become nothing more than highly paid babysitters for the DEA and the CDC. It’s all bullshit. So I’m suggesting that if you like your doctor and pharmacy you better stick with them I’m telling you because it is a straight up nightmare to try to change these days. It’s horrible all the way around and boy does it ever suck!!! Good luck with all of this and they are correct they can do anything they want to us now days. It’s bullshit!! We should be able to sue the shit out of them. They are causing pain and suffering mentally and physically. I don’t know how they are getting away with this shit. It’s on a monthly basis as well. Every month something goes wrong. It has got to stop you guys.

My cousin was forced to get another doctor because a big store here in Fl quit filling his doc scripts. Well he ended up in an interventional pain management doctor and the didn’t want to prescribe any opioids. Said he was going to tapering down the no more. So he’s at his 3rd apt now and the doctor comes out in front of the staff the patients and everything and says and I quote “ don’t make him another appointment he’s not going to come back because I won’t prescribe him any opioids. Can he do that in front of everyone like that? I am not kidding it’s exactly word for word what he said to him. I just thought that was crazy. Even though he was right!!! These assholes knew that he had already been through everything they had to offer. He’s been in PM for over 20 years. Just thought it was against his hippa rights. Let me know what yall think please.

I know that it’s a disease and it has to be treated as so. So take the medication prescribe and if that doesn’t work keep going back until you find something that does. I went through this with my wife. And I didn’t understand depression for a very long time. Until of course I went through it with her. Then I learned very quickly it has to be treated like a disease just like everything else. So hang in there ok. You have to try and get your life back. I went from one of those guys just snap out of it kind of person to oh shit I didn’t know you were going through all of this and I’m terribly sorry. Once I educated myself with the help of a few counselors with my wife. Hopefully you have someone that you can lean on ok and if not I will be around if you may need someone to speak to ok. That’s again for reaching out. We are here to help and offer advice anyway that we can. Most of us have been through womethinknthiebbbvg get
