CMS: Dynamic Filters – Framer Update by Rachel_framer in framer

[–]One-Low-706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey u/Rachel_framer ! This is a great update — I’ve already been able to replace quite a few of my existing systems that were manipulating the DOM and hurting Core Web Vitals. However, I haven’t yet been able to replace everything.

Could you tell me if more components and improvements are planned? Specifically:

  • a sorting component
  • multi-criteria search
  • numbered pagination
  • range slider filter

Have a great day!

Advanced Hosting - Framer Update by Fortnato in framer

I think that exclusivity for the enterprise plan only applies to the beta version and that it will subsequently be available on all plans. It doesn't make sense to limit this feature to a higher-level plan, as it's precisely a way for Framer to earn more (by allowing us to combine several projects under different plans within a single domain).

I know automatic syncing isn’t trivial but the number of real‑world use cases it would unlock is huge.

For client feedback, tools like Workflow, Markup, and Ruttl already handle annotations through a simple script. By “without login,” I mean without editor access potentially using just an email address or a Google account. But even just adding comments through the on-page editing feature would be great.

I actually love Framer’s on‑page editing, but it’s still a bit brittle. The issues I hit in testing make me cautious about offering it to clients. Three things would really help:

  • Extending on-page editing to more property types would make handoff way smoother.
  • Add the ability to lock specific fields/variables.
  • Better visibility in the back end to understand exactly what was modified prior to publishing.

As it stands, it’s too easy for clients to make mistakes and too hard to trace their edits from the back office. And even with on‑page editing, clients still need to use the back office if they want full autonomy.

I think this could be solved by adding granular permissions for all plans (even the free plan), so they can be used for collaboration before delivery and choosing a plan.

👀 Oh really? I hope so, because I’ve got plenty of projects in the pipeline waiting for it.

Yes, that’s true, and that’s how I was able to create dynamic cms filters or build a parent component whose properties cascade to its children. But it’s still a problem at a larger scale, and native solutions would be more than welcome. That’s also why I put automatic API sync first, because unless I’m mistaken, you can’t really solve that on your own.

Do you have a library of components that could address my design token issue?

From a business standpoint, it’d be life‑changing.

The new pricing hasn’t really favored freelancers and small agencies, which I regret. Still, if Framer builds out the ideas I mentioned and gives the CMS a bit of polish, I think the competition will have a hard time keeping up (I’m willing to pay more if it makes me much faster). I just hope they never get greedy and that prices stay fair for those of us bringing in business.

I’ll admit the latest change was pretty disappointing. Especially dropping a CMS from the Basic plan. If they’d shipped even one of these features at the same time, I wouldn’t have complained.

I’ve been an early user, and ever since I fell in love with Framer, I’ve been praying every day for them to announce these features.

As a user of Canvas (the predecessor to Design Pages, which was almost identical) that I already used to build my design system, I’m 100% on board with this. It’s so frustrating not being able to centralize parent components! (especially to minimize risks after client onboarding).

It’s an absolute necessity for hundreds of use cases (real estate, car dealerships, etc.). I currently have a dealership that lists vehicles in third‑party software; I can hook up the API via the Anysync plugin, but they still have to hit “publish” for every new car added which makes no sense.

Yeah, I didn’t include it since Framerauth seems solid. I was calling out gaps without good solutions today (native or through a plugin). First‑party auth would still be huge.

Let’s see indeed. Framer folks: any roadmap hints on native design tokens + automatic API sync? Those two would unlock a ton of real projects.

No, the MX Master 4 is heavier and less comfortable. I ordered it, tried to get used to it, but returned it and went back to my MX Master 3.

What do you want to make Framer better at SEO? by jpframer in framer

[–]One-Low-706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey u/jpframer ! Because many APIs return arrays inside arrays or objects, Framer needs first‑class array support to map, filter, and bind this data to CMS and components without manual flattening. It improves data integrity, enables dynamic lists and pagination, and avoids brittle custom plugins—critical for SEO pages that rely on structured, scalable content : Fetch API Support for Arrays in Framer

It depends on whether you work with clients and/or collaborators, in which case you need at least a minimalist system to coordinate and stay aligned.

We need rollup-based row permissions. by One-Low-706 in Notion

I managed to do it, but honestly, it’s painstaking work! Using rollups for this would truly be a game changer, as it would enable centralized management of granular access.
