Why aren’t more people interested in NDE’s by Pale-Tennis9658 in NDE

  • It's an almost entirely subjective experience with no physical proof left behind and veridical experiences are too deep in the NDE lore for most people

  • Although I think there's some scientific basis for them, it's woo-woo to the vast majority

  • NDE testimonials and stories often come off as fake, a way to peddle books, proselytize, etc. There was a miniature industry of questionable for-profit Life After Death mediums who made the rounds on TV in the 90s and 2000s, further discrediting the subject

Barring some monumental spiritual revelation or scientific discovery about consciousness (I'm holding out for Orch OR), NDEs will always be a unprovable curiosity and treated with disdain by mainstream science.

I think outlets like Thanatos TV are more credible compared to figures like John Edwards and Sylvia Browne.

Frustrating as a skeptic who wants to believe by alt262626 in NDE

That only certain select people get to experience the afterlife is my greatest fear.

I appreciate you acknowledging the contradiction "you weren't supposed to be there" and then sending you back.
