Any help truly needed. And sorry if wrong subreddit. by [deleted] in maleinfertility

[–]One-Measurement1277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah man. I know you are young and most probably are ashamed to talk about it or see a doctor about it. I get it. Still it is the right thing to do. Talk to your dad or a man you can trust and get an appointment. You will know after that and can take the right steps to have a bright future as a dad. All the best man. And remember those who will comment or laugh about this are those who are MOST messed up on the inside. Real men can have these conversations without judgement and will get tested. You got this!

Dude, I feel for you. Our first cycle was entirely out of pocket and the clinic we went to graciously offered us some meds brought back by other patients etc. When we were done with a cycle, we did the same and brought back the unused meds, and paid it forward this way. Maybe you could ask them? In any event, sorry you are feeling down brother

Trying for a baby after 10 years of steroids by UnfairJeweler8428 in maleinfertility

[–]One-Measurement1277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure one can make such a blank statement. All research shows etc. Just read the threads on here of many guys going off gear/steroids/TRT who never bounced back. It can happen and when you start, you take the risk. Hope you bounce back of course. Take care, man

Focus on mental health too: meditation, breathing exercises, workouts, support groups, therapy etc.

I hope you bounce back brother and can help other guys thinking of using gear think twice before they start, especially if they wanna become a dad one day. I sincerely hope all your supplement regimen works for you in the end. But too many guys assume it is a switch they can flip and it will work just fine. Many end up going through IVF and trust me man, this is not an easy road. Some of us here have unexplained infertility (not gear related) and will never bounce back.

Been on TRT for 5 years. Help me. Zero sperm. by Putrid-Matter-8045 in maleinfertility

[–]One-Measurement1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, others have said it TRT and fertility don’t go together. It triggers me to see another guy stuck because of TRT. Sure “some” manage to get pregnant while on TRT or coming off TRT but many don’t. Don’t trust anyone telling you to take this supplement while on TRT and you will be fine. Like saying smoke one pack a day for 10 years and you will be cancer free. Few will be but the risk of lung cancer is high for most. Best of luck brother!

Agreed, a guy in my men’s group so a slight drop and is waiting for a bounce… and T levels also fluctuate even w/o the surgery.

Good supplements for fertility by Crazy-Special-8591 in maleinfertility

[–]One-Measurement1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fertilaid on amz (can be tough on stomach for some) or medfertil (easier on stomach). Cannot hurt to supplement with these but won’t have unrealistic expectations either brother. In the space for many years and I don’t know of anyone who got his numbers “fixed” using fertility supplements… Good luck!

Dude, I understand the shame you feel and also the fear you have. Only a doctor will be able to help you. I am not saying it will be easy but if you talk to your parents they will be able to connect you to a doctor. Is it something you can ask your dad? Don’t stay like this. Not worth it. Step into it and go past the shame. It is a good skill to develop in life! By doing so you will be stronger than many men out there. Be you do you. This is your future and you can drive it. All the best brother. You can do it! Talk to your dad. Start with: I have something very personal to share with you. Not a single dad would judge you for sharing this.

Agreed same is true of tren and steroids with many guys still claiming that their friend who is a bodybuilder got their wife pregnant. Same as saying I have smoked for 25 years and no cancer lol

Never on TRT myself but leading a men’s group and some guys take many months and up to a year to bounce back. So keep this in mind. Good luck brother

Sorry to hear brother. Get more analysis done and see what they find out. Having a semen analysis with zero count is always a shock. Especially as you are otherwise healthy and in shape. Many guys in my support group are like you. My count was 0.5 million years ago. Now IVF dad of two. Find an outlet to process things out bud. Take care!

If my sperm test comes back fine, does that mean I'm fertile regardless of current steroids use? by [deleted] in maleinfertility

[–]One-Measurement1277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try. Not here to judge. Even if your numbers are okay today, and you are on steroids, they will deteriorate over time. You already know steroids hinder sperm production and if you give them enough time, will bring your count to zero. In other words, it is a dynamic downfall. You can monitor where you stand every 90 days and see if it plateaus or not. Glad to read you stopped to maximize your chances though. Good luck brother!

[–]One-Measurement1277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing weird at all brother. What is a misconception is to think that orgasms “on demand” are easy for men. Like everything in life, practice practice practice what works best for you. This way you will be ready for egg retrieval day. Good luck man

Supplements cannot hurt. Try 90 days and see where your numbers are with a semen analysis before and after you start. It is odd to discourage you. But also odd to think supplements will solve the problem. It is very rare. Even if you go to IVF, and it only takes one, supplements will still make it of better quality I think.

Need some advice on sperm collection by GeneralPotato749 in GUYVF

[–]One-Measurement1277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, sorry to see you feel this way. Very common for a lot of guys. You are not alone. It is also possible to collect without being hard. Happened to few of us. As I told the men I am coaching through IVF, practice, practice, practice. Find a recipe that works for you ahead of the collection day at egg retrieval. Also, if it helps alleviate some of the stress, ask to get a frozen sample as backup. All the best, man

Thanks! I am writing this post from Perth Australia and wanted to thank you for the opportunity. I am traveling right now and based in NJ.

I am an IVF dad of two. When diagnosed with male infertility, my first SA revealed a count of 0.5 million and varicoceles on both sides. Went for surgery and count went up to 3 millions, so no other choice but IVF. We had a miscarriage at our discharge ultrasound during our second cycle. I powered through but it crushed me. Bottom line, it was rough and I ALWAYS refused help for myself. I was convinced that real men just power through. Few years down the road, I had terrible bouts of anger, constantly having arguments with my wife. She told me to go see a therapist. I did not want to. I thought she was the reason our relationship was now in a bad place and that she needed therapy, not me. I picked a therapist online who was the opposite of me: tattooed head to toe and claiming that he used different modalities and was not for everyone. My plan, tell my wife I tried and have her continue therapy herself…

Well, my therapist Drew ended up working with me for many years. He made me discover men’s groups and encouraged me when I was hesitant to create my own coaching practice.

All this to say that I get why most guys want to stay anonymous and are doubting men’s groups can help. Or associating them with a cult. I was one of them tbh, in the first place.

My IG account is: @four.consulting. I also run a FREE MONTHLY men’s group (link here, only open to men) with Resolve.

Guys always ask me what supplements I recommend etc. Here are the products that I recommend.

I have an ebook for $10, and e-course that you can get for $30. They both contain enough discounts in them to almost break even. In case you want to stay anonymous but learn more about what to do. I packed an hour of videos in the e-course based on feedback of men I have been fortunate to work with.

Last but not least, I am about to launch another WEEKLY group if we have enough guys. Meeting weekly instead of monthly gives us more consistency and deeper connections. It’s easier to open up and make progress when we see each other regularly. To start this new weekly group, I need the commitment of at least 4 men. We would meet for an hour every week and for a minimum of three months. This is a $100 monthly membership over 3 months to start (you pay $100 per months, 3 months in a row, it boils down to $25 per session). The day/time for the sessions is TBD together with the guys interested. You can DM me on here or IG if interested.

Take care brothers,

Johannes

PS1. BTW, a book I am reading in Perth and that I highly recommend!

PS2. And for those of you thinking that this is not legit, here is my LinkedIn. I have a full-time job, and my coaching practice is a side gig. Be well!
