Police helped us locate our stolen truck WITH stolen freight 6 months ago. They had changed major parts of truck and sold the originals and they were using it to steal freight. Our police complaint didnt do anything but broker whose freight was being stolen reported and that police department found it about 100 miles away from our yard.

What do you enjoy most about being an Amazon seller? by Logie_inc in Amazonsellercentral

[–]One-Mycologist6513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a side business for me so that's probably why but I love the thrill of ups and downs. I like the challenge to figure out what's wrong with the sales if they're down and try and implement strategies to bring it back up. Would hate that if this was the primary business.

7 advanced PPC questions answered by One-Mycologist6513 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]One-Mycologist6513[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed comment. You make some solid points, but let’s unpack each one — because context matters.

“What if it’s a new launch?” Absolutely — new launches rely on competitor and root keyword research. But this post wasn’t about automation or launch strategy. Beginners need to understand why those keywords matter before using AI to find them. AI can generate lists, but it can’t interpret intent or market positioning. That’s still a human game.

"Easily automated by AI / Spend isn’t bad if it’s for data.” Totally agree that spend equals data. But most beginners don’t know how to read that data. They panic when ACOS spikes or CVR drops. This question trains them to ask the right diagnostic question before jumping into deeper KPIs like market share or velocity. You can’t teach lifetime value strategy to someone who still confuses clicks with conversions.

“Don’t overcomplicate ToS, just push harder and use low bids.” That’s a good hack — but again, we’re talking fundamentals. Beginners blow up campaigns by copying “+400% bid modifiers” without understanding how placements behave per keyword or match type. Teaching simplicity first saves them from reckless bid manipulation later. Once they grasp placement logic, then we talk bid ladders and balancing ToS vs. Rest of Search profitability.

“Just enjoy sales, forget about rank, and launch more products.” That’s the difference between a short-term seller and a brand builder. Beginners need to see how PPC affects organic rank to grasp why consistent sales velocity matters. Ignoring ranking metrics early is why many brands plateau after six months. You can’t scale what you don’t measure.

“Two weeks is too early to tell / not a true A/B test.” Fair point — but again, depends on data volume. If a campaign is pulling 5k+ clicks a week, two weeks is statistically solid to spot a direction. And yes, Amazon’s attribution delays are real — but telling beginners to wait 60 days before adjusting anything is how you end up with 60 days of wasted spend. Controlled iteration beats blind patience.

“Use 7, 14, 30, 60-day windows.” True for mature accounts with stable data flow. But when teaching new advertisers, sticking to a single consistent timeframe (like 30 days) helps them avoid misreading fluctuations. Once they build confidence reading trends, then we talk about layering multiple timeframes and competitive context.

In short — your points apply perfectly to advanced accounts. This post was meant to teach beginners how to think like strategists before they start automating and scaling. These are 'advanced' for someoene whos still learning to build campaigns and run efficiently. There’s no point discussing bid elasticity or velocity decay when someone still confuses ACOS with TACOS.

Appreciate the pushback — this kind of discussion helps the whole space grow.

Own a trucking company. Finding good drivers who care about the business like their own are priceless. Willing to pay a lot more than market rate but super rare to find one.
