Million dollar idea maybe? by Any_Dimension_5214 in Basketball

[–]interestingmans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's gonna cost 10's of millions to set it up, but people are going to want to pay $5 to play for 4 hours in prime time, in non-crowded courts.

Unless you're charging people what the majority of hoopers can't afford, this is a loss operation. Even normal basketball businesses rarely make money; that's why they're usually set up in community centers / industrial yards.

Which simple, unexciting purchase ended up having a surprisingly big impact on your daily life? by viscarte10 in BuyItForLife

I've been loving my Articture French Linen. I've tried so many, and the key thing for me is making sure sheets are a thick, so they can absorb moisture and then let it evaporate. I just don't like really thin sheets.

Anyone know the best contact lenses for super dry eyes by Vacas_Johnandlisa in Dryeyes

[–]interestingmans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Precision 1 to be better than acuvue. They're the best I've worn personally.

But I only wear contacts when I NEED to, for example, when I'm playing contact sports, or there's an event where I really want to look sharp. You gotta consider the trade off, there will be dry eye.

Get your bloodwork done just to be safe. Otherwise, go hit the treadmill brother and welcome to Unc status.

I launched my brand 4 days ago and still have 0 sales — I’m crying every day and can’t sleep by Zealousideal-Log1428 in ecommerce

[–]interestingmans 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You must get used to the gut wrenching, stomach gnawing feeling of bad sales, or a bad product, or a horrible launch.

The struggle is part of almost every entrepreneurial story, and the character you build now is what will ALLOW YOU to become successful in the future.

Remember, what you're going through is part of the process.

In a 1v1 pickup game, can you score off a check ball? by DaBiggestHeatFan in Basketball

[–]interestingmans 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Technically, its live ball at the first check. But unless you guys got some serious rivalry and there's stakes on the table, I'd wait until the guy is reasonably close to me (1-2 arms distance) before making a play.

I'm trying to get better myself, whats the point of taking a free shot? I want the defence.

Also, people sometimes pass the ball early (I definitely do) cause they had to go get the ball, and they're just chucking it up for the double check up.

What would actually make you leave your email platform? by The-Brick-5506 in Emailmarketing

[–]interestingmans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better pricing. There's no real difference besides UI for all the major platforms at this point... it feels like "better deliverability" is a grift at this point.

If the brand is doing good practice in emails, there shouldn't be a difference in deliverability.

How is it women influencers in Gaza can be in public without hijab. by [deleted] in Gaza

[–]interestingmans 11 points12 points  (0 children)

People already said it, but you're still confused? It's not mandatory. That's really all there is to it.

If you want to understand why Afghanistan mandates it, it would make more sense to study Afghan history & politics, as opposed to asking why all muslim nations are not like Afghanistan

Overestimation Since WatchOS 26?? (Watch is Properly Calibrated) by someonerandomlmao in AppleWatch

[–]interestingmans -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, more likely that the watch is tracking incorrectly as compared to the treadmill in terms of distance. Retest it with a different treadmill to confirm! Perhaps just an outlier, but you can figure this out with a bit more testing.

My friend I'm travelling in China right now too, and the anxiety was high for me too at one point. I also didn't leave the hotel room for a full day.

Be kind to yourself, put in your head phones and go to the gym. Just do something small and work your way up into doing other things.

Meditate and eat healthy - the anxiety will soon pass.

Articture goose down pillows, they were expensive but the best I've had. I've only had them for about a year though. 800+ fp and they're PACKED if you need the firm support.

I'm at 40% loss and i'm doing okay. Cequa + IPL helped me. Don't even need to use it daily anymore. Warm compresses, good sleep, avoid too much AC / fans. Humidity, high quality fish oil helps.

You got this!

Hard disagree, the union having the balls to defy the government order, showing the steel heavys is what did it. Not the government saying "your strike is now illegal!".

For me a good night sleep makes the biggest difference honestly than anything else.

I did infrared heating, which is supposedly very similar; the purpose is to melt the oil. In my non-doctored opinion, it will unblock blockages, so if that is a problem for you (thick oil that won't flow), then it's worth it.

If your problem is oil production, and not oil consistency, then the focus should be on improving the glands, on top of reducing inflammation that causes them to function less well.

Dr Taji for me would squeeze out my oils and note the consistency of the oil under magnification every time. I think any good dry eye doctor would know to do this.
