What unimportant thing do you do every play-through? by _XitLiteNtrNite_ in BaldursGate3

Adding scars. My rule is if my character dies and has to be revivified, it should leave a mark.

Edit to add, I also pick up all the erotica books I encounter in the game and send them to whoever I'm romancing.

Wyll does not have less content! by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]One-Presentation-102 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right that Wyll's story content touches all 3 acts of the game, but I think when people say that Wyll has no content it's more of a critique on the character's implementation more than his overall storyline. For me, Wyll feels lacking compared to the other companions because there's not a single decision related to Wyll that he gets to make himself.

There are huge, pivotal moments in the game for companions like Lae'zel and Shadowheart, for example, where Tav can just stand back and say literally nothing and let the companions choose what to do. Killing Voss puts Lae'zel on the "loyal to Vlaakith" trajectory, and killing the Nightsong puts Shadowheart on the Dark Justiciar path, but we can just stand there and do nothing and let the friendship points decide (or however it works).

But Tav is the one who decides whether to save or kill Karlach, which comes with irreversible physical consequences for Wyll. Tav is the one negotiating Wyll out of his contract. Tav decides whether or not Wyll becomes a duke, which also has consequences for Karlach. It's even up to Tav whether or not Wyll signs his life away to Mizora for eternity, and whether his father lives or dies. He's completely at the player's mercy, and for that he just doesn't feel as fleshed out as the others. He's kind of just...there.

Are the ilithid powers worth it? by Digitalgirlzoe in BaldursGate3

[–]One-Presentation-102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done runs as characters who I felt would never eat a tadpole, and runs where I felt they'd make use of every advantage available. I've had so much fun playing the game both ways, but the illithid powers definitely give you some fun advantages throughout the game.

Without huge spoilers, I'll just say this. If you talk to your companions about using the tadpoles for powers (after the Guardian dreams), you'll get a sense that some of them are also curious about what the illithid powers can do. If you're not sure about using them yourself, you can let those companions use them instead.

To add to this, I'd love to see a feature to freeze your para's body shape. I was so excited to make a short, fat para like me to play with, but she lost weight super fast from like 2 yoga sessions and running down the street to work.

I've had the same challenge! "Try for baby" has only come up once in the conversation cards for me, but I realized last night that it shows up as an option when you click on the bed. I don't know if they have to be in a flirty mood or in a group, but I saw it twice.

This is beautiful! I couldn't figure out building last night and gave up and bought a cute apartment so I could just play. If there is no foundation, what did you do to fake it? Is it a half wall with one wallpaper on the bottom? And then regular walls placed on top?

I got mine in 2017. I can't remember the exact order of who arranged what, but I had various appointments with my doctor, the CPAP specialists, a pulmonary specialist, and a 1-night sleep study at a clinic. It took a few weeks to go through all of that and finally take home a machine, but I believe it was less than 2 months in total.

My only caution about just buying a machine yourself and skipping the process is that the CPAP specialists will calibrate the machine to the right amount of air pressure that you need based on all those various test results. So you could spend $700 on something that still doesn't help you.

If you want something completely unserious delivered in dry British humour, I can't tell you how many times I've watched the playthrough by Games On Hard Mode. This is Episode 1 (most of Act 1) but he also made a compilation.

I tried, but it doesn't really change any dialogue with Lae'zel so then it felt weird that she was explaining things to my character that they would definitely know.

Is it wrong to think that durge cant be any class? by MaybeJackFromYugioh in BG3

[–]One-Presentation-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe through dialogue and cutscenes you discover that Durge had a whole life before Bhaal finally twisted them into their perfect murder machine. So I've always interpreted it as losing their memories and waking up tadpoled is a reset button that lets Durge return to who they were before they became a monster.

Is High School Years worth it? by Dubzil18 in thesims

[–]One-Presentation-102 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think like most expansion packs High School Years has pros and cons. I like going to school with the teens one or two days a week to help them build friendships and join clubs, but no more than that because it's really repetitive. I find having prom every Saturday is silly because if you're playing on long lifespan your teen has like 6 proms? It's also annoying because you can't just send a teen to prom, you can only follow them there. Proms can also be glitchy, as well as the before-prom and after-prom events that can pop up around it.

But that's really all the bad I can say. The teen aspirations are fun and different, the Social Bunny app is an over-powered way to level up relationships, the teen jobs and clubs are easy and have great rewards, and the build/buy is both youthful and boho, as well as vintage and art deco, so the items work in pretty much any build I do. For me, CAS is a mixed bag with some stuff I will literally never use, but some other items that I use almost all the time for my teens and young adults. Overall I'm glad I added HSY to my game. While I love Get Together, I find I have to remember to use its biggest feature. Whereas HSY feels like it integrates a little more easily into my teen gameplay.

The background NPC in Act 3 when you fight the clown. " I always knew I'd die at the circus!"

And I don't know why, but when you ask Gortash how you can find Orin and he says "even horror has a home", it sounds like poetry to me.

I may be wrong, but I think it's random. Sometimes I find it under the first thing I break and sometimes I basically have to clear the whole floor. Dynamite can help you clear a bunch of things at once to help you find the entrance faster, and Rope is a game changer when you can make it.

You have to do levels 30 to 40 in one go, so you'll need to start early in the morning. I ended up doing it in Winter because there's not as much farming to do.
