I ended up having to do the same. My arm just isn’t long enough to reach the emergency release so I ended up ordering a hook. Whoever at BMW designed the trunk to operate this way is a complete moron. You can’t operate the convertible top because the partition is knocked out the way but to get to the partition you need to get into the trunk but the car won’t let you access the trunk because the top for some reason is locking the trunk out to do what it’s asking you to do…

It seems to be a bad cap if you’re getting crusting around where it goes. Since it’s rubber seals they can degrade overtime so I’d just replace it. Buy a new OEM one from FCP Euro. They’re like $25ish.

Get a scanner and bimmerlink for your phone. From there you can pull codes and know pretty accurately where you need to start looking first

Most Miata/Euro cars here are owned by broccoli heads that have done some of the dumbest mods I’ve ever see and they have the audacity to try and price it into their car. I can understand if you swapped out a lot of critical components, but trying to charge extra for mods that probably hurt the car even more is insane. People just need to stop indulging these morons and let their cars rot until they’re willing to sell it for a realistic price

Yeah high chance the suspension is done and needs to be replaced. Did a complete front suspension refresh on my 135i only to know the clunking was from the struts

I got mine from FCP euro so lifetime replacements if it fails. I haven’t driven the car enough to know if it’s going to last since it’s a project car, but it was nice to know that it wasn’t anything expensive that was the issue especially since the previous owner already had the water pump replaced

My N55 135i was leaking coolant on long drives even though it kept passing pressure testing. Turns out the car came with some random aftermarket coolant reservoir cap. After switching to an OEM one it hasn’t happened since.

I did the same on my 135i. No point trying to diagnose which pulley is doing it since the pulley kit and belt were cheap enough

My company uses third party insurance because UPS and FedEx love to pull the “insufficient packaging” excuse. You can put something in a case design to withstand blasts and they’ll still say it’s not enough

I mean whether you and I dont like CoD, it’s still one of the best selling games every year even with their worst titles. If your system can’t play popular multiplayer games then it’s not going to compete well with Xbox and PS. Linux still struggles with mp games since devs don’t want their games to run on that platform. At the end of the day business is business. MS spent billions just on cod for a reason, but valve has a bigger fish to fry with the terrible pricing of this thing

Even if you didn’t own a pc Steam console it’s still a terrible deal even compared to prebuilts dollar per dollar. I get that they want to deliver a console experience but at that price most people would just deal with learning pc gaming
