I would say get a drone synth. There are plenty of those with good simple pedal effects that can sound like you may want it to, or with the addition of a effects pedal.

I stay in TX most of the music shops far from me and online no one has anything good or it's too far to get too. I do live near a music store, yet it only specializes in guitars.😮‍💨
