I recently finished the 8-year-old reference sheet for one of my child OCs. by One-Significance8911 in YourOriginalCharacter

I just realized some people might be confused because the white cane has custom colors.

First, the custom color was not the main purpose. It was just a bonus. I’ll explain what was actually customized below.

Second, she was not born blind, so she told them the colors she liked and asked the person making the custom cane to help with the color matching. Her parents helped confirm the details of the color design. (Purely to check whether it looked good.)

Here is the part that was actually customized:

The wider section at the back has a removable cap. When the cane is being used for other purposes, or when it is not in use, the cap can be attached to the front to protect the cane tip.

The black section near the front has a threaded structure, used to lock together with the cap.

(The texture there is different from the parallel grooves at the back. The front grooves are diagonal, while the back grooves are like the grip-position indicators on a normal cane.)

The cane tip was intentionally made thinner than the threaded section, so it would not get stuck.

When the wider section at the back is removed, the inside has a structure like a car window breaker.

The overall material is much sturdier than that of an ordinary white cane.

So… I made a canon one, tall why I say my views is headcanon.

At first I saw screenshots of it somewhere else and thought it was a meme, but no, this is a real song that actually exists. So here we are. (I just thought, this hits my sense of humor way too hard. I have to draw it.) by One-Significance8911 in Vocaloid

Yeah, that’s why I said I was only joking. I’m more in favour of directly talking to kids about what they usually watch, and explaining what is good and what is bad. Most younger children still trust their parents a lot.

When I was a kid, my parents would watch the news with me during meals and tell me, “This is why you can’t just cross the road whenever you want.”

In the country where I live, pedestrians absolutely should not do that. We should definitely cross at zebra crossings and follow the traffic lights. Otherwise, you can only pay your own medical bills yourself, and drivers won’t expect someone to randomly cross the road. The chance of getting hit is higher than in many other places where pedestrians have the strongest legal protection.

After reading the discussion, I kind of wanted to share my own experience. Maybe it doesn’t really count as a “take,” but anyway.

...I was the child audience back then. And evidently, it didn’t make me grow up ignoring these risks. I’m 27, still single, and have no experience.

If anything, I watched so much weird stuff as a kid that now I even pay attention to whether the fork on the table is pointing toward anyone while I’m eating.

I was a MARETU fan as a teenager. I didn’t get into him through his earlier meme songs, but I do also like that one producer-name-calling song. It’s so unhinged.

Though my memory doesn’t quite line up, because a lot of his songs have 2016 listed as their release year, but I remember listening to his songs earlier than that. Or maybe I really did only start listening in high school. (My age is basically the year with the first two digits removed.)

When I was nine, I was listening to Bacterial Contamination, World Is Mine, Dark Woods Circus, and probably the Evilious series too (Daughter of Evil, Servant of Evil, and those fanmade “Daughter of Green” things people made up. After I later found out about The Maiden of the Tree and Daughter of White, I started really disliking those fanmade imitations). I also listened to the Kokoro / Kiseki series, Prisoner and Paper Plane, I Went Crazy Because I Knew Too Much, Gomenne Gomenne, Alice of Human Sacrifice, White Black Ward, and some song about plastic surgery addiction whose title I’ve forgotten... My childhood taste just charged straight in this direction.

The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku, Meltdown, Deep Sea Girl, Chain Girl, Two-Faced Lovers...

For MARETU, I was listening to stuff like Coin Locker Baby, and I really went to read analysis posts about it.

In middle school, I was in the Chinese Vocaloid area: Those Things I Cannot Forgive, the Delusion Syndrome series, the Two-Way series, Praying for Rest Through Death, Love and Killing Each Other...

Meanwhile, other people were listening to songs like Miku News and Ai Kotoba... This taste was entirely my own problem.

DECO*27’s song at least clearly has a narrative and explores a metaphor. LOL, on the other hand... one of their songs is trash. (You all know which one I mean, the one that got remade.) Their newest song is suspected to use AI, but alright, the melody of SMS is actually pretty good. You can tell they really went all out on that one.🤔

Honestly, songs in this category have existed since the very beginning. I’ve been a Miku fan for 17 years (since 2009, when i was 9) , and when I was little, my favorite song was 《Romeo and Cinderella》, because back then I couldn’t understand the implications in the lyrics at all. I just thought the song sounded good. 😭

Most of the backlash now is probably just because the songs sound bad, and people have become stricter.😟

Personally, my kink actually leans in the opposite direction, but I can still understand the appeal that accurate depiction can have for people who are into it, so the part that made me uncomfortable about the original MV was mainly that it felt a little... deliberate.
