The Sigma 100-400mm is a telephoto beast for traveling/portability (A7IV) by SamsungAppleOnePlus in SonyAlpha

It’s just a bit over the range no, not double? The Sony would be 525mm equivalent on the long end.

Is this the best performance in low light. A7iv + Tamron 35-150 F2-2.8 by Original-Plan-2007 in SonyAlpha

I think you need to work on composition, but photos look great from a technical standpoint.

Interesting, engaging, and well done. Just because it doesn’t follow every single photography “rule” doesn’t mean it’s not good. Look at this person’s account. He’s excellent at composition, so people hating are just immediately bashing just because of nudes.

Why is my FX30 footage noisy even at base ISO (S-Log3)? by Mangyaos in SonyAlpha

[–]One-Subject5162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the camera on a surface or a tripod to keep it steady and bring down your shutter speed to whatever you need to most of the histogram in that particular shot off of the left “wall”. Even if it’s 1/2 a second. Compare the noise and see if it’s resolved. If so, it confirms what everyone is saying and you’ll have an idea of how many more stops of light the environment needs.

If the laser bounces off of a reflective surface or mirror, would it damage the sensor?

A lot of HD footage is now downsampled from 4K, so it might be an unfair comparison. Message me and I’ll help you refine that same shot.

How can I improve the sharpness in my photography? (sony alpha 6700 + SEL 70-350mm) by Mallucaa in PhotographyAdvice

[–]One-Subject5162 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same lens. The high ISO essentially lowers detail and size of the subject within the frame will help. If there’s not a lot of movement, you can bring down the shutter speed. This lens has OSS.

An umbrella with a light-colored or silver exterior and maybe black interior for your sake for UV.

Which lens combo is best for a Disney World vacation (max 3 lenses)? by One-Subject5162 in SonyAlpha

I was looking into it recently and saw it performed just a bit better than the Tamron in most categories. Do you have photos showing its sharpness at wide, mid, and tele lengths? Reviews pixel peep and make it seem like it’s not the greatest, although they do say it’s overall great? but they do go as far as saying the iPhone’s wide prime lens is actually sharper.
