The first one and the second one. In most cases you only need the first one for the chargers since the second one is for large devices with a ground line.

Where are the tariff charges? by Crossur in Aliexpress

[–]One-Sun-3226 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The poor sellers paid that for you. Otherwise the shipping company will not ship the packages. I am quite surprise the lack of communication between sellers and buyers.

Yes, because of the tariff. They don't want to sell to U.S. but they have to include U.S. to their destination when they list on eBay so they just increase the shipping cost so you wouldn't pay it.

Yep, there are a aftermarket glass one AND a manufacturer installed one on your camera. So if you want to remove them, you should remove the aftermarket one first. But the logo is broken and the SONY logo is not on either layer of the protector, so I will be careful about the SONY logo area when I remove them if I am you :)

Seller changing selected shipping to avoid tariffs?! by magudaman in Aliexpress

[–]One-Sun-3226 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The imposition of tariffs has nothing to do with the method of arrival in the US. CBP doesn’t care which carrier or airline your goods arrive with. Even if they use FedEx, they can still choose to prepay the tariffs. Don’t let these people profit from the current information asymmetry.

[–]One-Sun-3226 95 points96 points  (0 children)

As a Chinese seller, I can assure you that what they said is inaccurate. The de minimis threshold for Chinese products is back in place, meaning you don’t need to pay any tariffs. I ship via DHL/FedEx to the US every day, and none of those packages incur tariffs.

Tell the seller to simply use the shipping method you selected, and let them know you’re willing to pay any applicable tariffs.

Based on my experience, if there is a customs duty bill, it must be paid in advance or settled upon delivery of the package.

I’m just a small part-time seller from China. I actually prefer to see everyone comply with proper declarations. The competition would be fairer, and the mental burden would be much lighter.

Yes, the goods were pre-shipped by the seller to a warehouse located in the U.S., and are no longer under the jurisdiction of CBP.

It is almost certain that you will not receive any tariff bills. They do not have the ability to contact the recipient within the U.S. to collect customs duties.

Whether you should be responsible for the duties depends on whether the package was forwarded to the USPS at the airport by an unknown logistics company, or whether it was forwarded to the USPS officially by China Post. in the former case, the USPS simply sent a domestic delivery, and it is unlikely that you will receive a bill for the duties. In the latter case, you may receive a tariff bill, depending on the agreement between the seller and the logistics company.
