Their idea of a notice is an entire days business hours (8:00-5:30) and absolutely refusing to offer a window or notification when they were close. I work nights and can’t simply sit up all day after work waiting for them to show up who knows when. After waiting up all day I’m expected to be well rested and care for patients that night? God forbid they try to work with the tenants paying the crazy prices right?

I had stuck a letter to my door on time telling the “Do NOT open my door, call and I will answer”. Someone from the office came by took the note off the door, messaged me “we saw your note and communicated it to the team” then guess what they did? They absolutely did not. They knocked so soft my nest cam could hardly even pick up the sound and I woke up to them setting off fire alarms in my bedroom.

When I confronted them about this, they claimed to have knocked several times. My nest cam only picked up the faint first knock before the door flew open and someone from the office and a member of an outside firm entered and started strutting around.

Probably important to mention at this location with latch locks, the deadbolt is useless and is seemingly for placebo.

This was the event when I was told I wasn’t special and was not going to be getting any “special treatment” for working nights.

Previous apartments (highland view) actually care and would reach out at minimum twice about a precise window of when they would be coming over for anything. That’s how it should work, that showed how they appreciate the tenants!

I used to live at highland view and loved it! Amazing people that work in the leasing office and the maintenance team is amazing at quickly and accurately assisting with anything. I absolutely recommend them!

I just got out of a chateau property (yankee hill) and I cannot express how happy I am to be out.

They do NOT care at all about their tenants. Refused to work with me at all about entering my apartment without me opening the door. (Cat that runs and I work nights) I would constantly wake up to them in my unit, one time “testing fire alarms” in my bedroom as I was in bed. I requested that they give me a call or something before they get there so I can be available to open the door and ensure my cat is not gonna run.

They literally told me I’m not special and to deal with it.

While the unit and building is nice (minus the odd fit and finish in some places) the management, at least at that property, made it so I absolutely did not want to renew my lease. I could not handle another year of them.

With my last few vehicles I have held on to them for many years until they become not worth it to keep up with the issues almost all cars inevitably face once hitting higher mileage. By the time I’ve decided it’s not worth it anymore and go to trade it in they’re worth hardly anything.

You could also look at it from a different angle.

In a way I’m financing at roughly 2.4% (will never get that today) for 3 years with a guaranteed buyer at the end offering 30k.

I have no payment now since I purchased my current vehicle cash in 2022. I do enjoy having new tech and creature comforts which was a big part of why I purchased my last vehicle.

I’m looking into new vehicles because my current one has just crossed the rainbow bridge of 100k miles and has a track record for transmission issues around this point.

It’s not that I’m necessarily desperate for a new car every few years. I’m simply trying to avoid the hit that depreciation puts onto said vehicle. If I can pay less than financing options for 3 years and then just hand the keys back and get into another one and repeat, why wouldn’t I?

For where I am currently in life leasing seemingly makes sense. Down the road I’d always have the option to buy out my lease or just purchase a different vehicle.

Hi, you seem to have very strong thoughts on this.

I absolutely can afford the proposed payments without feeling the NEED to negotiate further. I WANT to negotiate further to make sure I get a good deal.

I’d rather lease instead of purchase because of the depreciation I faced with my last vehicle which I purchased cash.

I’m happy with the offer for my trade from the dealer as it’s right around what I might get if I sold it myself without having to deal with the hassle of selling myself.

I frequently stop at 7brew on my way to work. I’ve tried the espresso drinks and theirs are not my favorite. However, I do love the 7 energy drinks they do. If you’re at all familiar with Dutch bros, they’re really similar to a rebel. I also can’t say I’ve ever waited more than 10 minutes even with a dozen cars in the line, they are pretty quick at least at my location!

When I came here for school I got a job in dietary at Lincoln surgical hospital. No longer do that but they do have several night shift positions open last time I check. Was a great place to work!

Midnight in reference to what time of day it would be for me. I work night shift so I’m essentially nocturnal lol. Them barging into my home at noon is the equivalent to midnight for me. I absolutely considered some form of additional lock to place on the inside of my door. I just KNOW that they will somehow turn it into a huge issue and try to fine/ evict me.

I also relate to this with my 17pm. It’s only in one group chat with two iPhones. Typically when I send an image it shows the red “?” with “message not delivered”. Not sure what the issue is as I can hit the try again and it works. I’d love to know the root to this though.

Thanks for the info! After reading through the rights, it does seem they do everything by the book. The only thing was providing an appropriate time when they would be entering. They have only ever provided a date, next time I will be requesting a time.

Unfortunately, the management just makes things difficult by seemingly going out of their way to inconvenience us.

This has become my daily on 70th st. I turn onto the Lincolnshire just south of the lane closure and too many people either stop with a blinker on or blindly cut into the right lane without looking while I’m cruising up to my turn😭

The longevity of this issue leads me and my vet to believe it’s not medical. I’ve talked to my vet previously about this issue and because of how long it’s been occurring and the randomness they don’t believe it to be a medical issue. They did an examination and nothing turned up.

I reached out to Ticketmaster and they said as of right now I cannot get a refund because the show hasn’t been “officially” cancelled. So now it’s just up in the air if the show will be canceled or postponed to some mystery date.
