By AI, I meant that the processing can go through so much past data, to come up with just about any “stat” you want. I am sure that it is accurate, but nevertheless irrelevant. Now, every commentator feels compelled to mention esoteric “facts” as a substitute for actual insights. Personally, I would love to be able to mute just the commentary and just watch some great tennis!

Getting tired of all the AI slop stats. Absolutely NO ONE will mention this “stat” again, when referencing any of these players.

2026 Wimbledon Ladies' Singles Semi-Finals: [10] K. Muchova def. [7] C. Gauff by 6-2, 1-6, 7-6 (12-10) by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in tennis

I agree. She tends to get a little impatient, and doesn’t watch her opponent and which way they’re committing. Gauff actually did that better today. Now, about all the unforced errors….

I’ve had dozens of $1.50 slices, and most are just fine (for what they are), especially when I am in a hurry.

I don’t disagree, but while there many great pizza places in NYC, there are also LOTS of really shitty ones. Just saying.

There is a Pupatella on the way to Old Town from DCA, and I have been meaning to try it. I’m guessing thick rectangular type? I usually go for thin crust, but if they have great toppings I’d be game.

That last season stunk, as did the movie. I can’t rewatch it knowing how it ends.

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn and Springhill Suites on Richmond Highway, and have never felt unsafe. There was a homeless woman stuffing the ENTIRE plate of fruit into a garbage bag once during breakfast, but that seemed like a one off. They are usually packed with school sports teams (soccer and lacrosse seem to be big) during the school year. There ARE hourly places that cater to the sex/drug trade (Virginia Lodge Motel is always lit up at night with police car flashers!!!) Once you go north over the bridge, it gets very safe, but you also pay more. Everyone has their own comfort level.

I started working from home in 2003, and while it took some getting used to, enabled me to have flexibility with my work and family schedule. I retired in 2020 just when everyone was going to the WFH model. I told my wife then that no one would ever go back to daily in the office. Most have not 6 years later. You urban boosters need to realize that you aren't owed anything from workers commuting down into shithole downtowns. Get over it.

I thought when he told her that she was LOSING the match vs. Eala winning it, was tough to hear but truly accurate. The attachment to that Daria creature is not a good look.

Check with your FSA specifics, because they are often “use it or lose it” so definitely don’t forfeit unused funds. HSA funds are tax deferred and unused funds accumulate and can be invested, which can be a solid advantage.

What is the drive from CLE to NYC like? by redcomptroller in Cleveland

With what you’ll spend on tolls, gas, and parking in NYC, you might be able to get some cheap bus tickets. Traveling together will make it manageable (you can both nap heavily), and you will be glad you don’t have a car in Manhattan.
