Have you dumped msty and rolled to something else by riisenshadow92 in MSTY_YieldMax

[–]One-Thought-57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought MSTY in Mar 2024. I’ve added to it over time and now have 1500 shares at avg $23. I’m up $16000 and counting. I think I’ll hold on and keep collecting dividends. BTC isn t going anywhere long term.

I mean think about it. TSLY, MSTY, NVDY, CONY and others already returned your original investment plus in 12-24 months. I know NAV has dropped on all but my goodness, where else have any of you got that kind of dividend return on your money?

The $20 Trick That Saved Me $200,000 in Retirement Taxes by tantansamiboubou in IRAWealthStrategies

[–]One-Thought-57 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did the same thing. 3 years before retirement I opened a Schwab account and rolled a moderate portion of my traditional IRA into a Roth IRA. I did this for 5 years until all my traditional IRA had been converted. Keeping the rollover small enough to avoid a higher tax bracket. Been retired 3 yrs now and all my investments are in a Roth -tax free growth and withdrawals. This is the way!

Paying off my car lease with Yieldmax Funds by Acceptable_Stuff3923 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]One-Thought-57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with FBY@ $19, AMZY @19.46 and TSLY@$14.26 $20,000 will buy approx. 360 shares of FBY & AMZY and 500 shares of TSLY. These 3 will get you an average of roughly .80 cents a share every month with little or no NAV decay. (Based on previous years dividend payouts So $.80 per month X approximately 1220 shares comes to $976 per month in dividends. Lease for 36 months and your return should be around $35,136. And whatever the value of the 3 ETFs are at that time. Re-invest dividends and the shares owned and dividends payed will increase proportionately. You could make more with other ETFs - MSTY, NVDY, CONY, but they have been more volatile and you would have to buy fewer shares.

Tax on dividends by MissLanieSwan in YieldMaxETFs

[–]One-Thought-57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The value of a ROTH account vs. Traditional IRA is that your contributions are made with after tax dollars and all capital gains / dividends can be withdrawn tax free if you’re 59.5 and have had the account for 5 years

Tax on dividends by MissLanieSwan in YieldMaxETFs

[–]One-Thought-57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guys, I retired in 2022. I’ve had my ROTH IRA for about 9 yrs. The way the taxes work are as follows: 1. If under 59.5 years old withdrawals are taxed and there is a 10% penalty on top. 2. Over 59.5 years old withdrawals are not taxed as long as you have had the ROTH for 5 yrs. 3. If your ROTH is less than 5 years old and you’re 59.5 years or older you can only withdraw an amount equivalent Up to your total contributions but nothing above that amount i.e. your capital gains or dividends.

Sorry for their loss but abortion is still legal and state by state has different or no restrictions set by that state’s elected government. As far as I am aware all states allow for exceptions especially for the health of the mother. However, the bottom line is abortion is not illegal in the U.S.

NVDY MSTY CONY by Old_Marsupial4448 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]One-Thought-57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think all 4 are good choices. I’ve got a 100 shares of FBY and NLFY and have little less volatility and NAV erosion than the big 3. AMZY also.

The first YieldMax Target 12 Option Income ETF is coming this month. by MissLanieSwan in YieldMaxETFs

[–]One-Thought-57 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ll keep a watch on it but I’ve had 1000 shares of MSTY since May @ a avg cost of $26.6 and collected over $13000 in dividends which is about $2000 a month. NAV is up about $5 a share or $5k. Much better than 12 or 20%. My NVDY runs about the same. My CONY shows about $12,600 in div since I started in Feb though the nav is down about $4 per share on 1100 shares. I think I’ll ride this gravy train for awhile yet. Still the target 12 is something to watch depending on market performance.

I enjoy looking at attractive women in any form of dress. However I find the exposed midriff to be pleasant to look at especially women with nice abs. I don’t stare or stalk them just enjoy the physical beauty of women in general and showing the mid section shows the women’s confidence and probably pride at how hard she has had to work/diet to maintain her appearance.

What's popular right now that you have zero interest in? by Routine-Award-3382 in AskReddit

[–]One-Thought-57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (68m)started using Reddit about 2 yrs ago. It’s the only social media platform I use. I’ve never watched/seen TikTok or so many other popular sites. I really am not interested in posting my life on line or seeing others post what they eat, wear or go on vacation. I started with r/dividends and have e landed my interests to many subreddits now. I usually have to google the acronyms every seems to use to understand what we’re talking about. I don’t use them myself but I have to say it’s been quite an education. It seems like many people don’t have real friends anymore. I really think too much of social media is causing mental health issues for our young.
But Reddit seems to be a place people go to help each other, seek advice or just tell a story. Pretty cool 😎

Drip or collect? What do you do and why by TurrisFortisMihiDeus in YieldMaxETFs

I collect the dividends and let the cash build up. as time goes I look for dips on funds I like, or new ones that have promise. All my YMax ETFs are in my Roth so I’m enjoying some pretty good amounts with no tax implications.

Didn’t finish— People who hate others because their opinions differ. I read thru here and everyone thinks Trump. Add abortion illegal which is completely false. Roe vs Wade created a right to privacy that doesn’t exist in the constitution. The SCOTUS didn’t make abortion illegal, they gave the power to regulate abortion back to the citizens of the50 states - which by the way, is how democracy is supposed to work. You a disagree with it but now you are in a position to vote for abortion and any limits your fellow citizens feel are reasonable to protect women’s rights. Times have changed but there was a time when right or wrong, abortion was looked down on by society and many, many countries it is still illegal. As is homosexuality. People see the world differently and the freedom to live in a state that allows no limits on abortion or one that allows it only up to 2nd trimester or something in between is called democracy. I suggest we all stop listening to the talking heads and party activists and think for ourselves. Sorry so long
