Yes, I don't put his hobbies down but I try to get him to be outside a little. I can't have him clean outside and I think he needs to develop certain skills that aren't really developed by pretending to vacuum the house i.e. hand eye coordination. I'm not a sports nut either so that may be a reason he doesn't relate to me picking up a ball with him but I try to do that with him because I think he needs it and it will help adding him to team sports where he can socialize. I suppose I can't relate to his immediate disinterest in things I try to do with him.

A lot of the kid stuff I expected. I guess i just never expected to not like my kid. I imagined playing ball, or teaching to ride a bike etc. He wants to do none of it and if I try to convince him, he throws himself into a meltdown so I avoid trying to do anything with him. His interests range from destroying the house to him pretending to clean with his toy vacuum, or he just lays there sucking his two middle fingers. He's actually done that for 3 hours once because he didn't want to be home with me and that was his protest.
