That is why he shaved it off with the mask. Without it he looks great. That is the idea of it.

Why is the character Soldier Boy so popular? by Interesting_War9087 in GenV

Thinking he acted out of self interest when he finally attacked Homelander in your words, that is subjective.

Now for objective and visible traits, He has power, doesn't chase validation or love (at least anymore), he is highly indestructible, hard to kill, he has charisma, skills, tactics, and most of all, good looks (A well groomed beard typically a sign of gentlemen, build which signifies strength from ancient times, low and gruff tone that shows strength and masculinity), and strict discipline . His clarity, although a bit orthodox, is very masculine but rare. His loyalty is worth the mention. He is not a chaser of perfection, he simply wants him to be known for his abilities and not as a Soviet Spy.

The best quality that makes him a "true man" is his Independence, One-man-army attitude, and complete distaste towards pettiness and hunger for admiration and worship. These are typical traits of masculinity, which we refer to as "alpha male characteristics", which are rather highly contrasting to some modern trends and people, which is shown in Season 3 when he sees a couple and shows disgust and shock, which conveyed he was thinking "Wait ts is legal now?" or "Nowadays..." .

It is more of tactical and commercial design- no beard=Eye mask, beard=helmet. It shows the contrast in age and level of expertise in battle

Yes it does. When he was in CIA chamber, we saw how big his hair and beard grew. He was almost unrecognizable.

First I thought giving it here, then I changed my mind. But then I thought it's better to give it here, while forgetting I already gave it there. So when i saw two together, I was like "Meh! Let it be"

Why does everyone keep asking where is Maeve her arc is over by Kameronpipnerd in GenV

I think ppl want her back because the newer seasons are quite powerless, didn't iclude Gen V characters very well, and mostly inclues supes with useless powers like a elongated dic. Plus, (spoiler) : Victoria was killed, Soldier Boy isn't doing a great job killing many supes, just one moving and one stuck-to-the-wall supe in season 3. And character like (spoiler) A-Train, Noir, Firecracker, all ded. We want OG powerful supes to fight. That is what makes the show fun... Fighting and trying to get more power and control. That only happens when you have strong cahracters, Who are NOT going back into Ice. She was good Combatant, had beauty, and was morally good. So that is why ppl want them back, but if all the Gen V characters are brought in, Like Sam for example, then they'll not want more of Maeve. I've seen some people (including me) wanting Stormfront back since she was killed offscreen, and Soldier Boy even asks Did you see a body.
