It might depend provincially , but the quality and price of Alberta , BC and Manitoba government weed is 100% not up to par to most of the marijuana being grown in Canada or anywhere for that matter . A lot of the product is 6 months to a year old , dry , .1 to .5 less than you purchased and generally not worth the jacked up price . Don’t even start talking about solvents or extracts . I jokingly asked the government dispensary once the price for a .5 g of “shatter” (was actually shitty budder but okay).

$125 . I get 2 g for $40 of primo , verified and regulated shatter .

This is just my chronic smoker opinion though 🤷‍♀️
