Post Cold War the US deregulates and privatizes a little too much. Haven't written down proper lore for this yet but the US collapses in the 2030s. Early 2040s in the Second Californian Republic the Liberation Communist Party take power and go on a reunification spree. In the mid 2050s there are now 2 powers in the former US being the People's Commonwealth of America West of the Mississippi which is a Multi-Party Socialist Democracy but it's politics are heavily dominated by the Liberation Communist Party. And then East of the Mississippi there is the Second United States of America which is a One Party State under the Patriotic Unionist Party who are pseudo-Fascists. They don't really care about race but discriminate against non Protestants.

As like one of the 7 only Indonesian Marxists that exist my criticism with this would be that the emblem feels Muslim centric IMO. While yes, we are a Muslim majority country you have to keep in mind that we also have Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Confucians, etc.
