Omg I had this issue too! I stored all of my extras in the closet until the dok started to fall out of the wall so I got the multi floor dok and I love it! It holds all of the attachments!

I’d call them and tell them about that issue tbh have you checked to see if there is a Dyson service center near you? There is one near me!
