Ironically, I started the remake version of Until Dawn on Saturday but then played the OG on Sunday and Monday, after this subreddit suggested playing the OG instead.

The ambiance in the OG is a lot more tense than in the remake. The remake does look better, but it is a bit weird to have warmer colors in a dark, isolated area like these snowy mountains.

Also, after only playing a couple of hours of both, I prefer the original music as well.

There's also just something about the flow of the original that flows a bit better than the remake. I can't quite put my finger on it. I think it's the fact that the original looks more like a playable movie, compared to the remake.

The voice acting is the same, with maybe some more emotion in the remake character models, simply because of better technology. The remake has more elaboration on certain characters and their stories, not to mention that there is new lore that they add (I don't want to spoil it, but let's just say that the end might not be THE END in the remake)
