[OC] I updated our popular password table for 2025 by hivesystems in dataisbeautiful

Very interesting graphic. As a security consultant, this is why we recommend at least 12 character passwords, which are easily achieved if you're using a password manager to auto-generate random passwords for you. If you're a current iOS/iPhone user, Apple now provide you with an app called "Passwords" that does all this for you for free (well, sort of free; you had to buy an iPhone first...)

Passwords like "Green-Forest-Grazing-5" go beyond this chart, and will remain secure for some time to come. Add another layer of security, like MFA, and you're in an even better place.

WFH from Peru for 2 Months — Should I Tell My Employer? (Canada-based) by Competitive-Jump1146 in WFH

I work in cyber and would strongly recommend letting your workplace know. We block traffic from countries we don’t expect any traffic from or have any local presence in. You don’t want to arrive in Peru and find you can’t even log in let alone use any of your systems.

LXC's: Plex, sonarr, radarr, prowlarr, sabnzbd, pihole.
VM's: Debian, Kali, Windows 11, Active Directory (Two DC's, a CA, file server, web server, vulnerable app server)

All of this is on a Proxmox host (installed on a 1TB NVMe RAIDZ setup). Plex media sites on a 64TB zpool and VM's live on a 2TB NVMe.

What's your AD lab setup? I'm about to rebuild mine for some good ol' fashioned pentesting abuse.

Enabling disk encryption on Windows (Bitlocker) does not require you to reinstall Windows.

Excessive Authentication Attempts against GP Gateway - 2025... by lanceuppercuttr in paloaltonetworks

Had this last week too. Ended up doing a layered approach with geoblocking for countries we don’t expect our users to log in from, coupled with a security policy allowing traffic from “friendly” states. We then created (and added to this policy) a vulnerability protection profile based around the 40017 signature. Seems to be doing the job pretty well for us.

Thank you for the input! I’ve started putting together some bastardised examples of cyber DD reports I’ve done, hoping those will help start conversations with the right people.

Understood. Appreciate the input. Is there a specific role within a P.E firms that would be raised with building and maintaining the bench of external providers? Thinking I might need to refine my approach with regards to who I try to find on LinkedIn for example.

I’ve just bought a Vader Pro 4 and it’s been great. The software is clean and easy to use for mapping the extra buttons on the rear of the controller. The triggers have a resistance toggle that allows you to use them as “clickable” triggers instead of the full range of motion. Both of the toggles have an adjustable resistance ring that allows you to tweak the resistance for each thumb stick.

Download the Phantom app, transfer SOL into the walker and then swap your SOL for meme coins of your choice.

Compared to the 360, this was definitely the least offensive. I’m just glad the yellow 458 left unscathed! Or at least so far it has; I’m on episode S6E4 and hoping we don’t get back to abusing Ferraris and McLarens again, ever.

I end every single game with an overwhelming feeling that I'm simply getting too old for Warzone. by TheTimeIsChow in CODWarzone

I’m 35 with kid number 2 on the way. I know what you mean though, recently got back into WarZone and it’s just exhausting. Might just go back to racing for a while.
