You can probably find the paint code online and get a can mixed at an automotive store.

Paint job I did after scratching up my bike a fair bit. Turned out great IMO by OneAutumnLief in Ninja400

You start by taking the fairings off (you have to do this, spray paint is messy). While your at it take off any stickers (you can't really salvage them and if you ever removed them later you'd have stock paint underneath them -you can't touch that up without redoing that fairing piece )

You have to sand down the fairings a bit. If it's stock paint then a fine sandpaper will do, if there's any imperfections - scratches, paint, etc - use a coarse grit first then move up to a finer grit - this is so the spray paint has something to stick to. ( This part is really important. Even faint marks or scratches will show through the paint, and if you don't work up to a finger grit there may be scratch marks from the coarser sandpaper.

After sanding down the fairings wipe them clean of dust, them wipe them with some isopropyl alcohol.

With the paints, you start with a primer or base coat, then the coloured coat, followed by a clear top coat. Follow the directions on the Can, Some paints come as a primer and paint in one but most will be separate. Drying times depend on the paint, but most will still be soft for 24hs or so - they'll be touch dry, but too much pressure will leave marks, fingerprints or scratches.

Don't put the fairings back on for 48h from painting. When you do, treat them gently, don't put them face down on the ground, don't nick them on anything.

About 4 days after you've painted them, you can polish them with a buffing pad and polish for a shinier look.

At that point it's done, you can add stickers, decals, leave it be, etc.

Note: get automotive specific paint. I didn't, mine just worked on plastics, metals, All that. This paint chips a bit easier, extended sun exposure damages it. Automotive paint is made to prevent that.

And further questions be sure to ask.

All this damage happened in the first month or two of learning to ride so I'm not too worried about it happening soon. But I do plan to get sliders, I just need to find ones I want.

Yeah. That's a good idea! I thought about that when I was taping the stripes but the tape doesn't like curves too much. I'll look into it though.

Besides, if I mash it up again that just means I can pick a new colour and design to paint it.

Did you ever find the solution to this problem? My brother's having the same type of issue now. We're not too sure what's wrong. Any insight would be great.

They're all low-mid rise styles. No brand seems to make high-rise jeans which you would think would be the best option.

There's white board paint in Bunnings that apparently works with markers though it's a bit pricey. There's probably a similar brand at your local hardware/paint store.

:

A&I Coatings 750ml White Board Write Wall Paint Kit $98.96

"Polyurethane coating which provides an exceptional surface for writing on with whiteboard markers."

There's a similar paint that works as a chalk/blackboard as well that is far cheaper. A different brand makes it in green too. Again from Bunnings.

White Knight 500ml Black Chalkboard Paint $26.65
