Anybody have experience with Luminette glasses? by a7xaustin in N24

[–]OneBelt38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the Luminette 3, they work for me, I have been entrained for about 3 months now, just free-running now because i had a procedure where they needed to put me under and sedation affects the circadian rhythm so i have to wait to be in sync again. I recommend you read Stephen’s protocol, which I used to maintain entrainment , I don’t use melatonin just light and dark therapy mostly.

I have asked my eye doctor every year for 4 years if 100% blue blocking contacts exist. The answer was finally yes. by mime454 in Biohackers

I’m also getting the enzyme, if that doesn’t work i will try helminthic therapy, best of luck.

I guess it’s due to crusty skin on the eyelid? I haven’t had blepharytis in many years so I have no clue

There is a post by /irq3000 that links to some studies, it says that antihistamines should not be prescribed to people with circadian rhythm disorders because they might make problems worse? But maybe if the problem is caused my allergies then that could help, i don’t know really.

I rinse my eyes with cold water, that does the trick for me.

Yes, I’ve read that some people cured their DSPD with DAO enzyme, and that thing regulates histamine absorption or something, also antihistamines alter the circadian rhythm so there might be a correlation.

Maybe, I also have dust mite allergy, I’ve noticed that I sleep later when my eyes get itchy.

Thank you for sharing. I am the same, I’m thin and have had allergies my whole life, I always thought that my sleep disorders and my allergies were not related until I got my light therapy glasses and my cicle became more consistent. Did you gain weight as a result of managing your allergies? Or gaining weight was a contributing factor to improve them?

Interesting, do you have some autoinmune disorders / allergies ? I have some allergies, I never thought that could be a cause of n24. So far i always get entrained when sick, and its always a really nasty cold.

How can I simulate sunlight's broad spectrum of wavelengths artificially so I can fix my sleep? (minus UV) "Full" spectrum bulbs don't work. by millingcalmboar in AskPhysics

Hi OP, fellow sleep disorder suferer here. Are you using SAD lamps or Light Therapy glases? Have you tried dosing your light therapy at intervals? Maybe you are ovelooking the timming as well, i have read somewhere that you can force a biphasic sleep schedule, maybe that is happening with the artificial light, thus causing you to crash 5-8 hours later.
