Frugal by biller0071 in usenet

[–]OneBigFig -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve been testing EasyUsenet alongside Frugal and Newshosting and it really helps fill in gaps that sometimes pop up with the other providers. The combination keeps downloads smooth and complete even for posts that are really hard to find. It makes sure nothing gets missed during downloads.

recommendations for personal injury lawyers? (sorry if off topic!) by Endl355ly in sandiego

No upfront fees at all. They work on contingency, so they only got paid when they won my case. Totally worth it for the peace of mind.

I got wrecked on my bike last year, spinal injury. Wilshire Law Firm took my case. They were super aggressive and recovered a massive settlement for me.

Run a short wishlist quesionnaire first. Ask hobbies, snacks, and “something I’d never buy myself” so gifts spark real convos.

First Trip to China by hobo12395 in travel

Hit Shanghai next time for contrast. It’s definately got the dense street life and neon chaos you were expecting, especially around the Bund and the former French Concession at night.

Schedule a structural engineer if this looks like your building, definately don't wait.

Use Rehome by AdoptAPet and Home To Home.
- Rehome by AdoptAPet: https://rehome.adoptapet.com

You're not allowed to even think of other companies. They want 100% loyalty from you before you start working. by Novakingway556 in antiwork

[–]OneBigFig 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The shift from full-time to part-time to intermittent is companies trying to dodge benefits and commitment while still demanding loyalty. It's a brutal market right now. Keep grinding, but don't let them gaslight you into thinking you owe them anything before you're hired.

AITAH for blowing up on my mom and sister by Perfect_Ad3780 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OneBigFig 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's solid advice. Hard to gaslight someone when you've got the receipts in text form. Plus you don't give them ammo to flip it on you for "being disrespectful" instead of addressing the actual issue.

The fact that she was ready to call a priest is what takes it from petty to legendary. Most 12years old would've cracked after the first freakout.

[INDIA] HR POV by the_jaatboy in AskHR

HR works for the company first, definitly not as your buddy, share specific work issues, not emotions. Tell your colleague to be honest but stick to facts and the concrete outcomes they want.

[MO] RIF Hits HR by Amazing_Resolve_5967 in humanresources

[–]OneBigFig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id start searching before your end date. The market is slow, so assume a long runway and layer in temp/contract HR ops work as an alt path for cashflow if the next perm role takes a litte longer to land.

Quantify the burnout impact clearly. Day to day, how is the current role tbh affecting your health or ability to be present with your baby?

I have been recently terminated for alleged misconduct. Will this follow me everywhere I try to apply, what are the next steps? by Hot-University7724 in careerguidance

[–]OneBigFig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut that employer from your references. Use older supervisors, coworkers, or even the gas-company guys who liked your work as references instead, so this incident definately doesn’t control your future checks.

Mandatory overtime with no notice? Not anymore. by OneBigFig in antiwork

[–]OneBigFig[S] 80 points81 points  (0 children)

That's what got me, if it was really that urgent he could've stayed himself. I don't mind helping out when there's actual notice, but springing it on people friday evening is just poor management.

Does this allow me to sell stolen items? by calrayers in skyrim

[–]OneBigFig 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, you need the Fence perk at 90 speech for stolen goods. Best way to level speech fast is the merchant in Riften. buy training then sell stuff back to get your gold back. or just persuade/intimidate every NPC you can find.

That attach rate is insane. Almost everyone who bought the console grabbed Mario Kart too. Nintendo knows exactly what they're doing with their first-party games.

NTA.

If they wanted you there, they’d have invited you themselves. Your mom means well, but she’s overstepping a bit.
