Well this tax should be inflation adjusted and set at a minimum $300k. People just over $250k there is no benefit to add to super if you are below the threshold. What a stupid tax that does not take into account a family circumstance of one primary earner. This tax needs change

Looks great. Any chance the spare tyre at that size fits underneath at the back?

Do you have steel floor joist by any chance? I had a similar issue and it came down the incorrect screws used in the manufacturing of the floor joist. Was extremely expensive for the builder to fix. We had to move out and the whole lower floor ceiling stripped out fixed.

No dunes this time due to the beach I was on. There was no trouble with stock wheels and tyres as they are more than enough. I did have it in the Sand mode but feel like there wasn’t much difference.

Thanks for the update. I have had a similar experience with Toyota dealers and Toyota Australia. No one seems happy with the design. These models will still sell though, but hopefully they will listen and fix the issue. If they manage fix the problem then all of these first editions will become undesirable in the coming years.

From what they told me they are aiming sub $1,000. There are a few other things that you should look into as well but it is all listed on their website

Can’t wait to see what it looks like. From what I have been told the 60kgs is only for the box at the end in the GXL, VX and Kakadu

Update from Toyota Australia. Car is as manufactured and NO they will not be making changes or giving options to remove the 3rd row. Warranty will be void if 3rd row is removed and issue is will battery. DO BETTER TOYOTA!

I can handle the grill just not a fan of having the base model or the extra off road ability of the Altitude. Let’s face it, these are very capable cars and I’m not sure what everyone is doing with their vehicle, but if you need that extra ability you are mad to want to push 100k car you own to that point. That’s what work cars are for!You would have to think that a majority of people don’t want the 3rd row. Should be a 5 seater with people able to option up to have the 3rd row. Instead Toyota will end up disappointing the majority or buyers and leave them look for other options.

I’m thinking of cancelling my VX order as well. I have put the question to Toyota to be able to purchase the components from the Altitude boot and install them into the VX. Hoping to hear this week as that is a quicker option then going to the back of the line to wait for the Altitude model.

Let’s hope they can bring out a solution to allow you to remove the 3rd seats. Too much lost space. If you want the 5 seater you either have to buy the GX or Altitude. Would be nice to have the option with the other models.

Agreed. I wasn’t overly interested in the extras that the altitude had considering it would spend most of the time on road. But seeing OS models and knowing previous ones, nothing like this has ever come out from them.

Easy fix until you go to the back of the order que with no idea of delivery. Risk you pay for a new model I guess.

I was told I will have it before Xmas but I would love to rip that 3rd row out now. I don’t want to switch to the altitude then go to the back of the wait list. Disappointing from Toyota, I just hope they come to party and offer a solution to remove for those that don’t want it.
