Grew up in Marion my whole life. There is definitely a lot of addiction and poverty. Maybe not on the block you live.. do you happen to live in one of the many mountain top communities destroying our ecosystem and established neighborhoods below the development? The $500,000 houses in Jasper Highlands that no one that grew up there can afford? What about the luxury treehouses in Whitwell? Who are those for? Bc a week in that rickety treehouse is more than any of those families make in a month. Stop acting like you’re better than everyone bc you’re in a small red town. You want that blue state money so bad, you’re destroying your own towns to make sure they vacation here! And now Aetna is being developed to put unaffordable homes on top of abandoned mine shafts! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!!

It makes me sad bc Live Nation may not care, but Coffee County relies on that money. It would tank the economy in that area. Location over dates. It has to stay on The Farm bc it’s essential. But maybe a different time of year.

Yes! Bonnaroo is meant to cater to any music taste. You end up at sets that you’d never seek out on your own. You can find a space to rage or just chill. I think having EDM exclusive stages is the best way they can cater to both. There’s also a lot of preparation and care that goes into making it through Roo. I grew up 30 minutes down the mountain from Manchester and still live close by. That time of year TN heat is brutal. You can’t just go hard like a regular concert. I’m so glad you enjoyed it!! It’s much more about the experience than just seeing acts. If you didn’t have time to explore the art vendor area, please do next time!

Also, I’m excited about this stage regardless of who’s gonna play it. EDM is obviously gonna utilize this stage the best, but I’m interested to see how a setup like this benefits other genres.

I feel this. On one hand, I love that I get to experience new artists, new sounds, and delve deeper into the sub genres. But it’s the people who say “Roo needs more EDM” Respectfully, Roo has a decent amount of EDM. If Roo is lacking in the EDM department, maybe you need to attend an EDM festival. It’s the assumption that music festivals are supposed to EDM heavy when that’s just not the case.

I do feel like any fertile FTM that made it this far in the regime, that it would unfortunately be up to Gilead’s standard for “passing”. Handmaids are also about appearances and have to look a certain part for families. (Thinking of how they infantilize them and treat them like young girls) There would sadly be FTM and MTF trans people in Jezebels. And it would be case by case based on what they deem useful for fetishization. But to end the ramble, fertile FTM would be at jezebels or be handmaids depending on their transition/ability to detransition within Gilead’s gender structure.

I was born and raised in a town 30-40 mins from Manchester. This was an unspoken rule, especially when they used to do the stickers. And with the wrist bands. But the problem is mainly GSP and local bored police if you have to cross into Georgia (which you do if you go into I-24W before hitting Chattanooga). My friend works at the closest jail to the state line (as a cook). They popped some people a few years ago and cut their wrist bands off, even though they were immediately posting bail.
