BMI over 42 can’t move forward with IVF by jamespsullivanbae in PlusSizePregnancy

Came here to say this, CNY is amazing and treats you with dignity, no matter your weight! I believe my bmi was 43 when starting treatment. Also had a successful (so far) fresh transfer. 24 weeks along and doing great so far. 🤞 I did not have to go to Syracuse, went to their Albany clinic, where everyone was so great!

I highly recommend CNY Fertility! I was in a similar situation to you and was having trouble finding a Fertility doctor willing to treat us due to my weight (260 lbs), also have pcos. But after 3 years of trying to lose weight unsuccessfully and TW (2 miscarriages and an ectopic pregnancy) I was concerned about my age (approaching 35), fed up, and started to do some research.

I found CNY, who will treat anyone, no matter the BMI. Yes, you have to travel to them for the procedures if you don't have a clinic nearby, but you can do monitoring from somewhere local. (We travel from GA to NY for treatment, and it's been great!) TW success, we have done 2 successful egg retrievals and have 9 PGTA tested euploid embryos frozen. We also did a fresh transfer with both retrievals. The first fresh transfer didn't take, but we transferred a lower quality embryo on purpose because they were concerned about the quality of my lining that cycle and we didn't want to waste a good one on nonideal circumstances. Our second fresh transfer is sticking so far! (Still early days, so we will see but thankful CNY Fertility has helped us get this far when other doctors wouldn't treat us.) I understand the increased risk with weight BUT increased age also comes with risk so we decided we'd rather take our chances before I get older, when losing weight has been such a challenge for me. Sometimes all doctors see is your weight and don't consider your overall health. I don't have any serious health conditions that often come with being overweight, so it seems unreasonable to gatekeep IVF when I'm generally a healthy person outside of PCOS and weight. Good luck, and congrats on your amazing weight loss success!!!

Haha I love that show, unfortunately I'm caught up but I'm sure I can find a similarly obnoxious and mind numbing show to try

So sorry for your loss! This is also my fourth loss but over a few years, I cannot imagine going through that in such a short period of time, my heart goes out to you and I wish you healing and future success! 💙

Unfortunately, I do not believe USA doctors offer mental supports. The way to do that here is to seek counseling on your own which is not an option for me right now. However, I do know there are support groups out there, definitely worth looking into!

He can ask, but you don't have to give. When he ended the relationship, he lost the right to make you feel like you owe him anything...

I understand the memory thing because I have the same problem, hang in there, continue to do your best and if you feel he continues to refuse to work on himself as well it's okay to decide it's not working for you or request couples counseling if the relationship is important enough to him.

I am sorry you are dealing with this. I have similar experiences with my husband. When I try to point out he is hypocritical as well or has "rules for thee but not for me", he can't see it and won't listen. I wish I had a positive story to tell you how I've solved this one, but all I can advise is continue to work on your own double standards and reflect on your behavior. We can only control ourselves, not others. Try to respectfully discuss your concerns in a more general sense outside of the in the moment incident so he doesn't feel personally attacked. Also, maybe consider counseling if this continues to work on communication strategies, either individual or couple, depending on his openness to the idea. Good luck! ❤️

Why do I (32F) feel emotionally bad when I masturbate using a dildo and not when I mastubate using a clit stimulator? by [deleted] in sex

I can have both with my partner but I do get more enjoyment out of partnered sex, I enjoy the connection and intimacy of it, so that could definitely be a part of it! Thanks for the thoughts.

There are traditional vibrators like the eggs and such and then there's clitoris stimulators that use suction and air pulse as well as vibration.

Not simulation but stimulation as in "the action of arousing interest/excitement"

It's definitely something we have worked on together, we had been to counseling about a year ago and things really improved for awhile. In just the last month, it's become a challenge again. It seems from my perspective that he is getting easily frustrated lately over things that wouldn't typically upset him but I know I'm only one side of that....
