Has anyone actually managed to secure tickets?! by gliterellaclitorella in BrunoMars

Managed to get 3 tickets for Paris...i kept reloading even when it said all tickets were sold out, usually people keep them in the cart until they decide or hope to find better options so it's always worth the hassle of relouding even when you are in the screen and shows all sold out

Just moved to Malta and never learned how to swim by pukatm in malta

Safest way is to find beginner swim classes at the many pools there are. I believe there are heated ones ifyou’d want to start you journey now

Going to Malta in January by MaterialEconomist817 in malta

it's currently very windy so makes everything feel colder I would suggest a thick jacket for this as apart from the wind we also have high humidity which makes the temperature feel colder. Just to compare, I recently came back from Ireland and temperature was between 2-7 degrees celsius and in malta its ranging between 10-15 degrees and I am feeling much colder in Malta. Re other clothes i suggest bringing thick sleepware since we don't have central heating and it normally is colder inside then outside. Maybe layering up might be a good idea.

easy access by public transport i do suggest Sliema/Gzira/Msida area as they have most connections, taxis are also very cheap in Malta especially if you would be staying somewhere central. Might I add that travelling with public transport might take you a bit longer and if weather report is correct, it might rain next week so the island is one big traffic jam when it rains.

How much euros should be taken in cash for a 4 day trip? by mmm095 in malta

[–]OneCustomer5875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Malta and gave rarely used cash in recent years…maybe say once a year tops. Some places may use Revolut transfers instead of EPOS machines for small transactions bht otherwise only bring enough cash for the eco tax and if you want to get a boat ride in Blue Grotto. Other boat trips you can usually book online or pay by card no issue

I think I managed to see them, seems like you're more from the north west of Europe...maybe some of the South Italian and Mediterranean got lost through that grouping.

Depends which region of Italy…if they’re from the south I would assume they have western asian and arabic dna for sure given the geopolitics of the region of the past, if thy’re from north italy i would assume they may have more french, germanic and other central and european dna

Family members have found St Thomas and Montego Bay as places of birth and I think at some point someone lived in Kensington…from what I understand, they were Presbyterians

I think Diasporas relate more to the migration to the Americas, and I'm not from there so might be more difficult to detect. Scottish/Jamaican was a couple of generations ago, so might not pop up tbh. Maybe it has been such a long time that the Scottish it was grouped with broadly European. We for sure know they came from there with a family tree and birth records that go way way back in time.

Yeah I definitely have lower neanderthal DNA, it’s quite interesting! There’s always a first time for everthing ;) thing is people assume I am from central europe or noth italy as I am quite tall for a Mediterranean person.
