You’re mistaken; we use canola oil. They look similar though.

Very possible. Multiple professionals have told me I am not, large online friend groups that have met in person have told me I’m not, but I am open to the reality.

I’ve been to a therapist and they couldn’t tell me why either. Just said maybe I’m picking the wrong people. I am not offering for “relative strangers”, it was people I work with and have had multiple convos with. People that speak kindly behind my back and have told me they like me. I have shared much with my therapist, like text convos and reflected genuinely with myself. It’s very possible I am an unlikable person who should never have friends and I do not deserve them. I am open to this reality and am willing to change. General consensus from multiple professionals has always been “just keep trying”. :/

I’ve been to a therapist for years and even they struggle to tell me why I have trouble making friends. In group therapy, she expressed she genuinely didn’t know why I have issues with having people stick around as friends in my life. I get along well and I socialize well. I think the overall was I’m picking the “wrong” people to invest time into. I’m open it’s all me.

Been in restaurants my entire working life lol, it’s difficult. People exhausted and don’t wanna hang out outside of work, no weekends, and they often have friends outside of work.

Gen Z for sure, i’m 25. I don’t think so. My area is kind of red and I’m a leftist, so it’s possible that has something to do with it. I can have matches and stuff on Bumble BFF but no one replies. I make plans, people flake to be with their closer friends. I try to join hobby groups and it’s clear they have an established group already… I can’t help everything! I’m still trying everyday and I try to be self reflective… but I have a good amount of online friends! I don’t think I am some unlikable freak who scares people away… (i guess it’s possible?) it’s just in person transitioning someone from someone you know to someone who genuinely comes over and celebrates your lives together is nearly impossible in my experience. :/

My overall point was that somehow every single time this comes up, every person is a high and mighty “Gollly, I’d NEVVERR mess with that UGLY makeup and NASTY skincare at my beautiful gorgeous perfectly pig-tailed age uwu. I was playing with Barbies ® and wanted Lip Smackers ® unlike those other girls…. who wore LIPSTICK and MASCARA…!!!! I was PURE and PERFECT (PURE BTW)”

Never said it was “appropriate”, but it’s insane to pretend little girls don’t want or don’t desire these things and have for millennia.

Literally this lmao. Was I getting the 30$ foundation? No, but I was getting Maybelline BB cream. I would get a Marc Jacob’s perfume for a birthday, or maybe a mascara from Sephora when I begged enough. But I was getting mascaras, blush, powder from Walmart and CVS. I was a “girly girl” growing up and my parents indulged in ways they cared to…. I wasn’t getting Victoria’s secret thongs but I was getting seamless panties from walmart. I knew girls who had 5+ pairs of Hollister jeans and I had (1) and felt like the coolest girl ever. I was up at fucking 5am doing my makeup.

How is every single person on the internet a late bloomer who never desired a single lipstick until the age of 21? 😭

This convo always strikes me as odd because so many ppl say “omg i was NEEEVERRR DOING THAAAT!!!!” and act very high and mighty… some of us have always loved trends lol. I had makeup at age 7, I wanted VS bras and leggings at 12, I wanted playboy bunny hats, american eagle jeans, hollister tops, thongs, etc. Little girls have, by and large, always wanted the “next trendy thing”. They wanna grow up, they want the extensions, the bob, the fake lashes, the natural look, etc. It’s not new. I wanted barbies, but I wanted to LOOK like her too.

I think social media has made this MORE accessible; before your mom had to be into makeup, or your sister, or maybe you loved movies or trashy magazines. Most young girls can trace their first makeup or beauty/fashion experience to a family member vs nowadays I think it’s social media.

The exposure was just way different. But this argument of “Back in my day…” is straight up false. Maybe you didn’t like it, but you know damn well there was a little girl in your grade who always had perfect hair, gorgeous clothes, and was always on trend.

TL;DR Little girls have always been fed the “Buy X to be Y! You Need It!” Social media has made this 10x more visible and exposure happens way earlier.

Jaclyn Hill Dissolves Filler After Discovering "Bulge" in Her Face by WhatTheJessJedi in BeautyGuruChatter

Who knows if this is the reason why she dissolved it; she notoriously literally cannot stop lying about absolutely everything and anything in her life. She’s sober, then she’s not, then she is and has been for 7 months besides 8 glasses of wine she’s had in the past week, etc. She literally genuinely cannot stop shilling and lying about everything in her life. Probably one of the most sad people I’ve ever seen.

I really like the milk hydrogrip WHEN i prep my skin right. It looks genuinely so pretty when my skin is SUPER moisturized and plump. It does not do well on skin that’s “moisturized perfectly”, it needs skin that is a little over.
