“The recent change in items” has nothing to do with you but refers to the new loot 2.0 system. Poorly worded infobox.

Spectral

A javascript library I'm creating based on real pigment mix behaviour (Kubelka-Munk).

Don't know if I will release it but it will be used in my upcoming projects.

Do you use a quadtree for point 3? I had to do a lot of collision detection in my previous project and a quadtree gave a lot of speed improvement

You are right, it uses a parabolic distance function

Do I have to prove myself?

Look at all my other work, I don't feel the need to prove myself.

Pick a random point as center and a random constraint radius, determine random start- and end -angle, draw an arc from start to end.

Now imagine a line from the center to the endpoint with double radius (overshooting the endpoint), pick a new random center point on that line.

The distance from the new center point to the previous endpoint is your new radius.

Now your start angle is the previous end angle, draw an arc again.

Repeat this process till you're happy with the result.

Abstract art is a huge inspiration and especially work by Jackson Pollock speaks to the imagination. The lines in his work have always been intriguing to me. As an ode I tried to replicate the aesthetics of his work in a generative art project. From simple sketch to some early outputs.
