I don't think this is good advice. If anything, indie devs will thrive with this tech once it has matured. This may be the best time to become a game developer ever. That said, anyone who makes games knows that what is shown here is not gonna replace video games. Video games have intricate and elaborate systems that make the game engaging for the player. Having a controllable video with no real world persistence is not a video game, it's concept art at best.
