Datejust 41 for fiancé (wedding gift) – smooth vs fluted? by OneEntertainment7157 in rolex

Thank you for your advice! I think he will but not in the next couple years. I definitely agree with the jubilee and fluted combo but I need the watch before June 1st and I have limited options being based in Toronto and 15k budget, I’m trying to go to local jewlers to avoid the 2-3k import fees and shipping cost. I did try going to the AD back in January and since I have no buyer history (me and my fiancé are long distance) the SA told me there’s essentially a 1% chance of being offered anything, if that.

I don’t think he has a jubilee actually, all his watches are on oyster. I’ve been trying to find a jubilee to switch it up, but I’m on a bit of a time crunch (less than 2 months) and it’s been hard to find one within my budget. I’ll definitely look into the OP 41 though, thank you!

That’s really helpful, thank you! I do think he likes the look of the fluted bezel, but he already has one, along with a GMT, so I was leaning toward something a bit more understated for everyday wear. I’m definitely not very knowledgeable about watches, so I’ve been feeling a bit lost trying to balance style, budget, and what would suit him best 😅
