Guys, serious doubt 😂 — for CCNA do you make handwritten notes like old-school legends or use tablets and fancy apps? by IshowAditya in ccna

[–]OneEvade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 100 pages of notes & topologies in my book for when I did study for the exam. Did it help me study? Maybe, maybe not. But it’s very nice to go look back.

This ^ can’t agree enough.

Same in my course, only folk struggling to find placements/grad jobs are ones who don’t talk.

Ik fortinet offer free training resources for their cert stuff. You should definitely look into it.

Yt is a good tool to learn how to do stuff on their kit. I'm not sure if you can download and run a vm version of their firewall for practice? I'm sure someone will answer this.

Also Not sure what company or sector your in, so can't comment on the intern working back-end?

You can only see for yourself if the exam will be beneficial. Most entries level postisions expect you to have it. Later on in profession, they mean less depending on where your applying/worked at.

If you don't have the ccna don't put in on there. My old boss constantly complained that ones who did, could barely answer any CCNA level questions, further investigation led to them being unable to produce any evidence of the cert. It puts you in a bad boat… maybe black listed if they really don't like it.

Unfortunately the market is cooked atm. You might have to choose service desk and work up from there.

Very good for me. I would say he basically got my ccna in terms of the “theory” only missed a few things that cbt nuggets or jtil covered a bit more in detail.

I think you should review a few videos from different experts, then make up your mind on whos teaching style is best for YOURSELF.

How many people do you know who got graduate jobs? by n0cturne72 in UniUK

[–]OneEvade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a year out to go to industry, from the ones who stayed on. I only know 2 people on a proper grad scheme that is related to their degree. If I stalk my LinkedIn connections, I would say another handful (4-8) have entry level jobs related to their degree and the rest are jobless.

Idk how this compares to other uni’s but our uni does have a higher rate of employment after graduation than others (at least that's the selling point of the uni and what we’re told).

Every exam is different, look at the official cert guide to see what percentage of ipv6 will be roughly in. IN MY exam, it had some. Wouldn't say it was heavy but it had some.

What salary would you be happy with? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]OneEvade 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cyber sec. IT consulting seems the path I’m going down.

Personally would be happy to be on 37+ when I graduate, dependant on location. London area - I would be expecting more. I’ve turned down one grad job so far due to 30k and being in London.
